Excellent location next to 24/7 secured upmarket hotel, although the town is anyway safe to walk in even at night. Although parking is not behind closed gate which is normally a dealbreaker for me it isn’t in this case because of the above reasons, and you can park right next to your unit (depending on unit). Very friendly and professional host. Just a 1 minute walk to the main town square where everything is happening. The unit is beautiful, cozy, well equipped and very comfortable for summer and winter. Beautiful garden, architecture and interior.

Stunning room with a view, exceptional service, clean, walking distance from town, safe and secure. Very helpful and friendly staff. Bianca the owner is awesome and if you’re looking for recommendations of places to visit and things to do while in Clarens, she is your go to person. We visited several of her restaurant recommendations and were not disappointed at a single one of them. Definitely planning to visit Clarens and stay at Stonehaven again. Thank you Bianca!

Absolutely nothing

I was accommodated at the last minute, late hours of the night with kindness and love. The owner helped me with my bags and was so patient waiting for me as I was not familiar with the place. I would highly recommend it and plan to return anytime I need a place away from city life. It was so clean. It was very good.

I stayed at Stonehaven Clarens for a solo getaway and loved the central location—just a short walk to coffee shops and restaurants. The space was neat and comfortable, and the AC kept me warm on the chill night. What truly stood out was Heinrich’s warm hospitality; he even recommended a great spot to eat, which turned out to be excellent. The overall comfort and friendliness made it a place I’ll definitely return to.

This is a full self catering unit with a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. The WiFi worked perfectly. They have a great DSTV bouquet that includes the major sports channels. Everything is clean, stylish, and comfortable. The hosts are lovely. Clarens is a little piece of paradise and the guesthouse is nicely located on the outskirts of the town.

A bigger frying pan would be nice if possible, but really isn't necessary.

Owners where very accommodating, the bungalow that we where booked in dit not suite our style. They moved us to a more modern room inside the guest house. Lovely big bed in the green room and style full. Nice mountain views.

The first bungalow that we stayed in is furnished in a very old style, we did not like it but the antique look might suit someone else. The bed in bungalow one was very uncomfortable for us.

Very easy to locate and stone throw from the square. The room was spacious and neat. We booked late at night while we were an hour out of town and the owner was responsive. He called to give us warning on the road conditions leading to Clarens and re-routed us accordingly. The room and beds were kept warm prior to out arrival. It’s a pity we were passing through the town and couldn’t stay longer! Will definitely visit for longer stay to enjoy the space

My 'W' flat was brilliant. I would have loved to stay longer. The flat is made with love into details and good taste. The location is perfect. Across is 'TREAT' for a divine breakfast, perhaps for dinner too. The kitchen is well equipped. I think for 2 people it is perfect, for sitting options. To be correct, the front room offered 2 single beds. except there are only 2 chairs and the balcony / terrace will be tight for 2 people. BUT outside is a bigger table, I guess this could be an alternative sitting area or the host offers 2 additional chairs. I would recommend it to anyone. Hopefully one day I can come back, for sure not only for 1 day.

I loved my stay at Stonehaven. The friendliest host kept us informed from the date of the booking up until check in. The entire house shouts a warm welcome! The accommodation was super neat and clean, i am definitely going to go back again!! Thank you to the Pelsers for a great stay!
