Caveat: I stayed here immediately following Hurricane Helene. I chose it because it was close to the Island and the best location for accessing the Island early in the morning. The staff were attentive, friendly and available. Many had been impacted by the hurricane but they showed up to work anyway with a smile on their face. The hot breakfast was very good and I appreciated that it started at 6:30am. The dining room staff is funny, friendly, caring and available. The room was very large by hotel standards, great little fridge, very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. I loved the laminate floors with area rugs as I have allergies triggered by most wall to wall carpeting. I also ate lunch and dinner at the Bar and Grill. Simple menu but fresh food that exceeded my expectations. I didn't try the 'nicer' restaurant next door. The pool is huge and inviting though I didn't have time to enjoy it. The views are beautiful from all the common areas. Lots of nice little touches--water always available in the lobby, 24 hour snack/sundry store, plenty of parking.

The location of the property and the view from our room was the best we have experienced till date. A true getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city to unwind and relax with family. Very near to the pristine beaches of Anna Maria. The happy hour cocktails were refreshing when we arrived and the staff at the front desk were friendly to all our requests for our toddler. Breakfast buffet was simply a spread of all the freshest ingredients to start your day . Overall a memorable trip etched in our memories and true to the photos put up on booking.com.

It was an excellent stay with no issues whatsoever. Loved everything about the property.

The room was nice and comfortable. The pool was great, the view good. The food was very good, the breakfast was well done. Happy hour was a bonus, but no reason not to have it on Friday and Saturday...the bar was like a graveyard and it was packed the other days with happy hour.

The cost was deceiving with all the additional taxes you get hit with. The gym was ok and needed some maintenance. The hallway on our floor should be vacuumed daily.

The hotel was very clean. The staff always acknowledge us. When we walked into the hotel they would say Welcome back, when we were walking around they would say hi. At breakfast they asked several times about the quality and even struck up conversations. They made us feel like we were welcome there. The room was in great shape and very clean. The pool was really nice and clean. The hotel is in a great place to get to AMI, you just have to cross the bridge. There are several restaurants and a CSV just across the bridge.

- The breakfast was wonderful, so many options to choose from and the ladies who were working were exceptional. - Happy hour was very good, Matt, the bartender Matt was working a very crowded bar with professionalism and was very quick to wait on people. We missed him our last night. - Loved the attention to detail in the hotel and rooms (full length mirror and outlets near it). - The front desk staff were wonderful and friendly, even remembering my name when I returned from being out. - Comfortable beds and QUIET rooms!

Everything was wonderful, however, at other pet friendly hotels there are stations for dog bags (poop bags) near grassy areas. I’ve even seen small towels available to wipe the dog’s feet when you come back into the hotel. This is at Candlewood Suites and is something that could easily be added. We had both bags and a towel - which kept your comforters clean, luckily it didn’t rain when we were there.

Check in agent (Brad?) was awesome! We wished we had a view room (not a parking lot) but third party booked rooms were not granted those apparently. Liked the decor vibe of hotel and rooms, all clean and well maintained. Requested a late check out due to a midnight arrival and morning front desk agent was short and less than accommodating so unfortunately left us with that final bad taste in our mouth. Might have stayed here again on the back end of the trip but chose elsewhere because of this. Also, kind of weird location, too far from bar and restaurant scene in our opinion. On site restaurants were closed when we got there but breakfast buffet (included) was nice.

Attitude of morning front desk woman - no desire to provide great customer service (I really think they don’t like third party booked reservations) and the location was a bit remote from the ‘action’.

Location was perfect, Close to the beach but far enough to avoid all the Anna Maria island traffic. The restaurant next to the hotel was very convenient that you could walk to go have dinner which was nice if you didn't want to drive to far for dinner. My room had a view which was nice to watch the sunset and sunrise. Would be staying here again.

I think the breakfast in the morning could be better, was crowed and not too much seating. I had to ask the workers if they were going to refill certain things like coffee creamer and orange juice.

We felt very welcomed as soon as we stepped into the hotel. Everything in the hotel was very clean and all the staff was extremely friendly, specially Down who served at breakfast and did recommend so many thing to do and was so nice. In the evening it was Cindy that was also specially nice and very cheerful and happy.

Perfect location, literally 5 mins drive to Anna Maria beaches and you get so much more for your money here than anywhere on the island. Clean, spacious, comfy rooms, great balcony with amazing sunset views (might not apply to all rooms), and the pool area is so nice. Really feel like you're somewhere special. The bar and grill is also great with very good food you can have round the pool. Breakfast was excellent with good variety. Staff are super friendly and attentive.

The hotel was beautiful and the view from our room was gorgeous. We could even see manatees in the water from our balcony! The hotel is in a perfect location for access to Anna Maria Island or further into Bradenton. We never even rented a car and used Uber to get anywhere very easily and quickly! It was perfect! The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. If we needed anything, the staff was quick to help and get us what we needed. The room temp was easily controlled and very comfortable! The restaurant within the hotel was delicious with large portions. Floridays restaurant, next door, was also very delicious, again with large portions.

There was nothing we didn't like.
