A great friendly old style no frills pub with good honest food and attentive staff, I was made very welcome and shown to my room, I ordered a meal from the menu and it was lovely. This is the type of hospitality that large hotel chains seem to have lost and it was a very nice change to have stayed at this place. A massive surprise also was that they had FREE parking unlike the large greedy hotel chains who think its ok to charge an extra £10 to stay in the car park of the hotel I will definitely look to stay again next time I am in Sheffield.

Staff were very helpful, and it was perfectly located for my trip. The room was a good large size with twin beds. Comfy beds and pillows, good tea making facilities with plenty or tea bags, milks and decent size cups. I was very comfortable and content. WiFi available. Parking on site. Good value for money. I ended up travelling alone in the end so was grateful the room wasn't expensive. There was a TV in the room, remote minus batteries.. I'm sure staff would've sorted it but it was late and I just watched my phone instead. Nice temperature I was warm and cosy. I would stay again if I attend the same event next year.

Shared bathroom which was reflected in the pricing. You were at the mercy of how other guests leave the facilties. But there was loo roll and soaps etc. On the plus side it was right next to my room.

It was clean and in prime location for a wedding I was attending. Lively and reasonably priced drinks. Great mattress, clean bathroom, toiletries and clean towels. Catriona and all the staff were super friendly and wonderful, made my stay even embetter and great recommendations for the area.

It was a little on the snug side with no bedside table and no breakfast but that is understandable and clearly written on the booking. All in all fabulous stay.

We had a work event at a venue pretty much right next door so ideal location and well suited for that. Really accommodating and was great that they had just the right amount of rooms and beds to put us all up. The staff was very friendly and comfortable beds.

The only criticism we have is on Booking.Com it says they do breakfast but that's incorrect. Also only one towel in our room so may want to bring your own if you're planning on showering, especially if like us you're sharing with colleagues, some of which are big lads! Food is only served until 2pm on a Saturday so get there early if you're planning on eating there.

Great location if using Sheffield Utilita Arena, just a 7 min drive. Very clean room, small but perfectly adequate with very comfortable beds and tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. Pub was good, with locals very friendly. Highly recommend if you want comfortable, clean accommodation at a decent price. Just a tip, if you want breakfast you need to book it at time of booking. Will definitely stay here again if visiting Sheffield or the arena.

There was nothing that springs to mind.

Nice clean & spacious room with twin beds that were very comfortable. Room was a bit cold on arrival but we just turned the radiators up and was warm enough by time we got back later in the evening after going out. Ensuite nice and clean & mini toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, soap bar and conditioner provided). Would highly recommend, really great value for money.

Not clear on the booking that it's above a pub that plays live music till 12 midnight so not ideal for someone who might want to get a early night, luckily for us we got back around 11pm and was eating our takeaway so didn't mind the loud live music but there is no way you could sleep through it when it's on as room directly above.

The home cooked food in this place is outstanding and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. What better way to end my busy day than with a nice pint and a huge portion of homecooked food. The rooms are very clean, smell nice and the beds are amazingly comfy.

Wish the TV's were smart TV's with Netflix or Amazon prime apps so that I can sign into my account and watch a movie.

What a nice surprise our stay was. We originally booked somewhere else but had to change reservations, and therefor didn´t expect much. The Old Crown Inn is every tourists wet dream: Down to earth, and affordable for smaller budgets, too, it has a well-frequented pub downstairs that serves really nice beer, and comfy, clean and lovingly set up rooms upstairs. Motivated and extremely friendly staff. It´s older and appears a bit ran down, but that´s only adding to the charm, since everything´s well kept. We didn´t eat there and therefor can´t say anything concerning the menu.

Was made to feel very welcome and the atmosphere was fantastic very good priced accommodation lovely room just what is needed for a lovely stay Also I would like to stay a massive thank you to Janet for being so understanding and allowing us to stay longer then çheck out time I would recommend this establishment to anyone who is looking for a good friendly pub and a very welcoming place to stay we will definitely be booking again

All staff members we spoke to were lovely and so helpful. Especially the girl who checked us in. The beds were super comfy, I fell asleep almost instantly! The rooms were perfect for what we needed and it was a lovely stay overall

A little noisy at times but it is a pub on a main road so is expected. A little further from the centre than what we had hoped, not as easy to get to where we needed to go that night
