The complete stay at the Taj Hotel was very pleasant, but the staff made it exceptionally great! Every morning we were greeted with a Namaste and such friendliness as if we were with family but still carried themselves with extreme professionalism. Some of the staff that really stood out to us because they went out of their way to take care of anything we needed were Mr. Jaykishan, Mr. Bajwa, Mr. Aman, Mr. Govind, Ms. Harpreet and chefs Ajay and Baljinder. They deserve a mention because they made our visit such a memorable one. Thank you!!!

It is a beautiful modern 5 star hotel with great location to Amritsar sightseeing.

The service was super slow. There was no iron in our room and when I called for one; it took them 15 minutes to bring it. We asked for coffee at the breakfast restaurant and indicated we were in a hurry. They said 5 min, it took them 20 min to get us coffee. Same for bag pickup - they couldn't find where they put our bags for storage. For a hotel of this quality, the service needs to be faster.

We have travelled to Amritsar several times for business and leisure, staying at different hotels with varying experiences. Yet, our recent visit to The Taj Swarna Hotel in Amritsar earlier this month was truly remarkable. The hotel surpassed its already stellar reputation. Notable members of the hotel team included Prabhjot, Muktaar, Anmol, Rishii, Lovjeet, and Mr. Pradyuma. Prabhjot was our initial point of contact at the hotel, and she delivered outstanding guest service, starting with her friendly greeting and ending with her excellent suggestions. She efficiently led us through the check-in process and elaborated on the hotel's amenities. Her knowledge of local attractions was remarkable, and she shared some hidden gems that enriched our experience. Prabhjot maintained a professional and welcoming demeanour throughout our stay, always ensuring our comfort and offering assistance. Her authentic care and meticulous attention to detail left a lasting impression on us. Thanks to her, our memories of the trip are not just about the places we visited but also about the exceptional hospitality we received. Mukhtaar, an employee at the restaurant, provided exceptional and attentive service, ensuring a pleasant experience with his courteous and effective approach. His dedication to details, from recommendations to accommodating special requests, fostered a welcoming atmosphere that enhanced the dining experience. Rishi managed the Club Lounge, which we frequented daily. His excellent service always made us feel welcome and went above and beyond. Rishi's warm smile and attentive nature turned an ordinary visit into a special experience each time. He recalled our preferences, welcomed us with authentic enthusiasm, and frequently shared captivating tales about the area. It wasn't only his professionalism that impressed us but also his talent for making each guest feel valued and significant.

Service was excellent, especially the coffee shop. Some staff names I remember are Abhay and Hapreet, both are professional and make the experience very pleasant for guests. All other staff are good too.

Room linen cleanliness could be better. Housekeeping service is good, responsive. They should think about how they provide amenities in bathroom, it’s small so I have to keep asking for more. Some room functions such as switches needed repair but the staff were very responsive.

Location and food

The way I was charged at Taj Swarna, I had been given upgrade options after I bought my stay first, consequently I had accepted upgrade twice before my Real stay date. What normally upgrade is our first booking stays as it is and there are add on. But somehow you guys decide to upgrade me to one complimentary Airport ride on my second acceptance of your offer and when I accepted the third upgrade this complimentary option was taken away without my awareness. Now at the last day of my stay, I had to pay 2500 rs extra for airport pick up on my bill , I felt that I was being cheated (as this ride could have cost me just under 500 rs on Uber) . I did try to explain my whole upgrading with your email offers at reception but I end up paying this amount.

We booked through booking.com executive suite for our stay at Taj Swarna from 11 to 13 Mar as the price is cheaper. Thanks to Mansi, Rhythm, and Nandit who have served us with great hospitality. They are very polite and friendly. Location is great. It is a luxurious and modern hotel. Just next to the 2nd big shopping mall in Amritsar. Walkable from hotel.Breakfast is excellent. Have many varieties and all are delicious. We also had dinner at Grand Trunk and food tastes delicious too. Room is spacious and clean. Bed is comfortable. King size bed with 1 additional bed can fit 2 adults and 3 kids. . There are 1 extra toilet in the executive room which are great for big family like us. There are kids corner where you can play chess, jenga and trampoline. Gym's facilities are new and modern. Yoga mat is available too. Overall, we had a very relaxing stay and fantastic meal at Taj Swarna.

the pillows are very soft. It will be better if there is free henna and if they can provide bath salt as in other 5star hotel. We stayed at executive suite with lounge access. We only tried once for the club lounge. No delicious food and tea there. It's kind a waste for the club lounge access.

The cost is that of a typical hotel in the US. The experience is nicer given the friendliness of the staff. I liked the cleanliness and experience in the room. Hallways were fresh with clean carpet and modern technology.

There is extra cost for breakfast which, in my opinion, should be included if you're paying ~$150 for a typical clean hotel experience. The gym was bare bones and closed onmy first night of stay despite a sign that states open 24/7.

It was very easy to plan the trip with Booking.com. They gave multiple options of room with meals all inclusive price. Very transparent system. Hotel exceeded my expectations right from hassle free checkin and super warm hospitality from staff all over hotel. Dinner was super nice, so was the breakfast. Will visit Taj again for sure, of course through booking.com 😀

The hotel is in a locality slightly outside the center, but just about 15 minutes from the Golden temple and so provided the quiet and serenity needed after a visit to the boisterous Wagha border or the noisy honk-filled gullies near the temple. We got the room we wanted (one with two separate beds even while booking such an option was not available). The room was very clean, the shower a mini-waterfall, and the AC quiet and comfortable. The only negative is that the room did not feel as plush and well-appointed as a typical Taj room. We did not use the spa services and the pool was too cold to enter, but the steam and sauna were quite well maintained and the staff set it to the required temperatures on request. The breakfast buffet had an adequate spread, the only complaint is the lack of authentic filter coffee (for a south Indian). The staff were very attentive and we didn't have to wait for anything in spite of the fairly heavy crowds. Special thanks to Vineet and Chef Ajay, the latter for taking the time to point out possible street foods we could try. And thanks to Anshula who enabled an excellent check out experience. These are the only names that I remember but I should point out that every member of the staff across the hotel, right from check in to check out, the spa, the gym, the restaurant, housekeeping and the security made us feel welcome and valued.

As mentioned above, nothing to dislike, but the room did not feel like a 5-star Taj hotel, in terms of the decor, the furniture and the lighting. The immediate vicinity of the hotel did not offer any walkable amenities, though there is an excellent restaurant just about a km away. But as mentioned above, this made the place quiet and peaceful with not much traffic in the vicinity. So, if one is looking to soak in the local atmosphere, this is not the place.

This hotel was our final destination. The ambience as soon as we walked in was amazing. We was greeted by Maanya, she gave us an incredible cup of tea & made our check-in quick & painless. The hotel was beyond what we expected. I want to thank Maanya in helping us navigate Amristar & making us feel comfortable. I want to thank Anshula for helping us with a situation we encountered. She not only reassured our concerns but corrected the situation. Thank you to all the staff member's & thier beautiful energy! I would definitely come back & highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
