I took the double room. I liked that it was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was nice pillows and everything was tidy. The service was great and hotel staff was extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming.

The room did not have insulated windows. The noise from the street was noticeable when there was loud cars or people passing by, which happens every night because it's NY.

Old building converted to hotel. Spacious rooms with high ceilings. Spotless. Quiet. Old heating with window air conditioners not ideal. Terrific location. Will return!

Staff were very friendly. Hotel was older, however very clean. Fun old elevator for that retro euro experience. Rooms were very clean and quiet, could not hear any traffic. Location was great...15 min walk to times Square. My family saw a show at MSG and well within walking distance. No on-site parking, however garage located a block away (staff at garage are not very pleasant, not hotels fault) and paid $25 vs. $70 with Seton validation on ticket.

Rooms were basic, no coffee maker or fridge. There is a vending machine and coffee maker on the main floor and their site says mini fridge available upon request. Bed mattresses need to be upgraded. Paid $420 for one night stay during peek xmas season.

The location was good. What I love the most is the room was very clean. And that is very important in a hotel. The staff were very friendly. The manager was helped us move the booking from December to January bec the booking.com wasn’t helpful at all.

There is no window that you can see the outside or the city view. The AC was old. The price I paid was more than $300 for a 2-bed and private room. With the price we paid we could’ve stayed in a larger room given the price in January.

What a wonderful find! The location is superb, central and close to everything. The room was very nice and quiet, a big room that I shared with a friend. I don't know that I've ever stayed in a cleaner hotel. The little patio area in the back was a wonderful addition. The bathroom was lovely, great water pressure and sparkling clean. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York. Absolutely perfect!

Wish I could have stayed longer

Extraordnary friendly people working there! The shared bathroom has always been super clean. They lock up your luggage with extra tags so noone could take someone else‘s. Super organised, haven‘t expected this.

The heating was a bit too loud and noisy, but the staff did their best to help us. For the shared bathroom it would be nice to get slippers beside your bathrobe, so you don‘t use your street shoes in this room.

Rooms were well decorated, paint schemes were very good- no chipped paint. Bathtubs and tile were in good condition. Furniture was nice and each table had a protective glass covering. Staff at front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Though a little off the beaten path the hotel is within walking distance to most places, an easy walk to Central Station this access to just about everywhere in NYC and surrounding areas.

Window A/C unit was a loud. TV channels were limited In case of emergency windows could not be opened by a single person meaning it took one person to hold the safety catches at the top of the bottom window while the a second person lifted the window from the bottom. This is a serious safety issue. Personally I did not like the arrangement of turning key over front desk Everytime we left the room. Makes me a little quezy thinking someone could walk in and ask for the key to your room.

The room was very affordable, nicely decorated and comfortable. The front staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great a sink was in the room.

It wasn't clear that we were sharing a bathroom with a whole floor of people. It said in the booking that it was a shared bathroom between two rooms, which made us think the bathroom was between two rooms vs. on a whole hall sharing. They provide a robe. You bring the flipflops! There are stairs in the front you have to drag bags up and the elevator is quite small.

this was an adorable little boutique hotel in NYC (read: an old, small building converted into lovely small hotel rooms). it matched our expectations and the price cannot be beat espcially for the proximity to major tourist attractions (walking distance to the NY public library, Koreatown, times square), and the subways from neighborhing Grand Central Station were extremely convenient for going anywhere in the city. bonus, the staff including Sean were very respectful and responsive, and helped tremendously with our luggage both moving in and out (and even housed our luggage after our check out time for our convenience, extremely kind of them). bonus 2, we enjoyed the NYC vibes of the place, including seeing out our window across the courtyard other people's places (reminded us of FRIENDS)!

the rooms were smaller than we expected, but it was still very manageable. we didn't realize that a refrigerator was not included (we had one added to the room for an extra $25 during our stay), so just keep that in mind. No microwave either. elevator is small and of the old European variety, but worked well.

From the front desk to the elevator , the wall painting to the furniture. The decoration very charming and classy curtain, pictures and the carefully painted walls and trims. The comfortable bed, the linens and towels. But even more impressive was the bathroom: looked like it was just built. Fine porcelain sink and toilet bowl and fine spotless metals. First class stuff. Couldn’t FIND anything wrong. Incredible because I really looked for flaws. We stayed at the “Petite Room” with enough room for moving around. Recommend for a quick stay cause there’s not much hanging clothes and shoes space. But still very nice.
