We picked this hotel for ease of driving / parking as we were only using ponferrada as a one night stop over. Hotel met our needs with a large clean room , secure parking and a very good breakfast. It is a 30 minute walk to the castle which is a must visit and it should also be noted that the residential area just 5 minutes walk away has a great choice of local / good restaurants and bars. - we had a really good menu de dia as a late lunch and also spent a pleasant couple of hours same evening halving wine / tapas

We were very pleasantly surprised with all aspects of the hotel and its slightly out of town location. Unfortunately as the hotel was not busy there was just a lack of atmosphere

Front desk staff were very friendly. Hotel looks very new but seemed to be quite empty. The breakfast buffet was good.

The location seems to be poor. We couldn't get a taxi from the train station and had to walk to the hotel. Maybe because it was a Sunday, the town seemed to be deserted. We didn't find any restaurants or stores nearby.

The property was modern and easy to navigate. The buffet breakfast was exceptional with wide array of breakfast options. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We are walking the Camino, and the hotel is about a quarter mile off the route, but that just meant we got a really quiet, good night’s sleep.

There wasn’t anything we disliked. It’s a very nice hotel. Highly recommended.

Couldn't fault this place. Booked on the day, at last minute. Greeted by a friendly receptionist and all of my questions about where to eat etc were answered effectively. The hotel location is a little out of town, but only about 5 minutes drive. The bonus is private, secure and free underground parking. Breakfast was also great - a really well presented and complete buffet.

Space , parking ample free, Breakfast , easy connection to town although at the fringe . Fast conjection to highway . Great shopping center on foot 5 minutes.

One could argue lack of character , a bit like an office town . This is a practical choice and it does it right amply.

After a long drive we arrived at this quiet and perfectly located hotel, a great base for exploring the area. Our room was nice, very comfortable, clean and spacious with a view of the nearest park. The staff was nice and helpful, the fact that they have their own parking places in the apartment complex parking a great advantage. They also have a restaurant and a bar. This time we chose to explore the city. Would return and recommend it!

Nothing, everything met our expectations.

For the price it was excellent, however a touch tired…… Only mentioning this because I was asked otherwise I’d have zero complaints 👍

On arrival the site looks a bit USA bleak, but the hotel itself is stylish inside, the staff enthusiastic and helpful, and the room we had was lovely. Large and roomy with a big comfy bed, all very relaxing. There is car parking available in an underground area, we left our car kerbside where there was ample room. There are supermarkets and other shops within walking distance.

As described, the external surroundings of blocks of flats and a huge adjacent office block are not attractive, but the hotel itself is terrific and good value.

Big modern soulless hotel, but served the purpose, Very secure parking, only 20 minutes walk from the castle, old town area. Quiet location, easy to find.

Although it was modern and comfortable, there were some stain on the wall next to the bed that should have been cleaned!!
