The staff are so kind and friendly and the house and grounds are kept immaculate. A lot of love is put into everything and it really shows. The bed was the most comfortable we had in Thailand by far. Sit on the terrace and listen to the birds and watch the ocean- it is paradise. Location perfect for the village, beach and pier. Thank you for the perfect stay.. highly recommend to everyone 😊👍🌱💗

Really liked this homey place by the beach. It's basic but very spacious and clean - and they have PROPER BLANKETS which is unheard of in Thailand outside of the fancy hotels :)

Greeted at Reception with a glass of cold water and a plate of fruit. Room was large, airy, comfortable bed, good sized bathroom with separate hot shower. And even a mirror in the room close to a socket! Fridge and air con already switched on and water chilling inside. Lovely terrace with chairs and hanging rail. The staff brought us fresh fruit each day and if we weren't in they left it in the shade outside with a cover over. Perfect little set up close to pier and all restaurants and bars

This place is superb. Just a few meters off the peir, taxis are cheap so we took one instead of walking with our bags. Check in was easy too.Everything you need in the room. Large bed, mini fridge, AC, outside seating area. Bathroom with body wash, etc. supplied. The bed was hard but better than some of the beds we slept in. The room was cleaned every other day, and we even had a change or towels and bedding in our 4 night stay. Grounds are well kept, and the lights were still up as it was just after the New Year, which made it look beautiful on an evening. Fresh fruit left on our terrace every day, too, which was delightful.

Beautiful unspoilt island with small Shanty town, that had everything you need. Mook In Lay is the first accommodation as you come off the pier and is in an ideal location to meander into the shanty town. Plenty of restaurants, small smattering of bars and tourist shops. I expected the complex to be bigger than it was, but comprised of approx 15 rooms with an open reception. Tuk Tuk taxis plentiful to take you to alternative beaches. Laundry service available, room cleaned every day, sometimes changing bedding every day or every 2 days. Air con good, fridge reasonable size for room, and as always mentioned the plate of fruit delivered daily

Absolutely nothing

The hotel is in an excellent location and very close to the pier when you arrive, plus close to the small town and a 15 minute motorcycle ride from the beautiful Charlie beach. The gardens are clean and well kept. The staff, although with limited English were always friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious and we used the laundry service, which again was excellent. I would recommend the hotel.

Travelling with friends the only thing we missed was a breakfast were we could meet up in the morning. We were aware of this before we travelled and there are plenty of places nearby for breakfast. The hotel has a small outside reception area, which would be an excellent location for a breakfast area. Just something to be aware of before you book.

Situated off the pier on the way into town, this inviting resort is very special. Despite the business of the road, it is actually very quiet and guests arexredoectful of the peace. The village centre and local restaurants are easily accessible by walking. The local beaches are good and Charlie Beach is a short B50 ride away. I was last at Mook Ing Lay during covid and even then, under various restrictions, they made an effort fir me. It is so good to be back! You are warmly greeted at reception, catering for special requests - I had just come off the speedboat, and it was possible to check in early. Every afternoon, you get a plate of fruit, and every evening, the mosquito coil is lit on the patio outside your room. The room is clean (with tea. Coffee and 2 water bottles) and the bed is so comfortable. The air con works very well and is unobtrusive. I had a fantastic stay at Mook Ing Lay!

Simple no-nonsense accommodation near the Koh Mook Pier. This is the second time I am staying here and I would come back again. Rooms are as advertised - large and equipped with everything you need for a 5-night stay. Internet was working well, I had a large fridge in my room, bed was king-size and comfortable. The lady who manages this place is the best part of the stay here, though. She gave us some fresh fruit every time we came back from the beach and was super-pleasant to communicate with even though she does not speak much English. Location is also great - steps away from the beach, but not beachfront, so it stays quiet and undisturbed. Sheets and towels are replaced every second day. They give you beach towels, so no need to bring your own. Also, book-swap desk at the reception, so we found new reading material once we finished our own. Once the sun goes down, they light up the anti-mosquito cans right on the patio, so you can still sit outside.

I actually have no complaints. This is not advertised as a luxury accommodation, but it has everything we needed.

The room was cleaned every day. It has all the basic furniture necessary. The staff was very friendly even though they barely speak any English but we managed. The owner gave us a fruit bowl every day. The beach is just around the corner, not more than 200 meters away.

The internet could be better as the connection was not stable. There is a lot of trash on the way to the beach, which has nothing to do with this accommodation but the town should do something about it.

Our room was lovely with a large terrace to sit out on. Location was perfect, near the pier and restaurants - we particularly liked Miss Island for breakfast. Loads of tuktuks available, to take you to stunning Charlie beach.
