Jasen, the operator of the motor inn is accommodating and friendly, and gave us a call unprompted to let us know our room was ready early if we required, which I appreciated, and also followed up later in the day with instructions on how to access our room out of hours as we were running late. He was a pleasure to deal with. The room itself appeared to be in the process of exterior renovation, however the interior was clean and tastefully decorated in neutral beachy tones. Much nicer than I expected for the modest price point. The common gardens/courtyard area is nice and well maintained and lovely little crafty touches, and catered well for the pet owning customers (one of the few motels or hotels in the area that allow pets also) The shower was hot, pressure high, but a bit short in height as the shower floor is raised.. but that's being picky as I am 6' tall. The common room facilities are all there.. jug, toaster, cups, utensils and, conveniently, a full sized fridge. The basin is shared with the bathroom. The chocolates on arrival was a nice touch.

Not a lot to take issue with, considering the price point. If anything, the cigarette smoke from guests outside adjoining rooms can become irksome.

The design of the property having a front entrance going into a spacious room with and going through to the rear into a lovely well maintained garden setting at the rear, with funny signs, quirky ornaments. The room was clean and comfortable with with all the amenities you would need, including complimentary tea and coffee, an electric jug, toaster, cutlery, crockery, microwave and the choice of having breakfast, lunch or dinner made for you by Karen or Jason and I think Charlie might also helps out. It also has a clean well maintained pool that was starting to get a little chilly for me when I stayed. If you like to cook for yourself, rather than going out or have a meal cooked for you, the BBQ area at the pool enclosure I found was nice and easy. The hosts Jason and Karen couldn’t be more helpful, they are about the nicest and most helpful hosts I have come across when starting in any motel. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

There was nothing not to like, clean, tidy, ppl friendly and pet friendly.

Well located country motel. Clean, beds and pillows great. Our unit was fully self contained with a full fridge which was excellent. Staff were very lovely. Towels were lovely and large and the pool area had their own towels. Out the back was a garden area that really expanded the room with cool wall plarks with funny sayings in the pool area. Also had a Bundy rum area. Kids loved Roxy the dinosaur statue at the front.

The bed casters didn't have locks so the beds moved, and of course the kids loved this, the adults not so much. Discussed this with the owner upon exit.

The manager was very accommodating and helpful. The room was a decent size and the kitchenette facilities were good. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Good space for your car at the front of the unit. We didn't take a pet but it's nice that you have the option to have pets with you in the motel.

The rooms are not soundproof. The traffic from one of the nearby main roads was quite loud and you will hear all the movements of fellow guests coming and going.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Karen and Jason were particularly helpful as to what was on in Bundaberg and where to go for good food. Kids stuff to do, etc. Was a great place to stay, and if I had the choice again, I would not hesitate to make another stay.

Nothing major. There was no washing up sink in the room. However, the managers kindly offered to wash our dishes for us as a solution.

We had stayed here twice on our travels from Darwin and Back; both times, the owners were great, and they understood our needs for our child as she has a disability. I would highly recommend for everyone to stay here, The breakfast that was served to us on the way down was amazing and went above what you could imagine. The husband and wife are lovely, I even meet their son who was the most kindest person around.

Fantastic location, close to a number of good restaurants/takeaways. Love the kitchenette with cutlery and crockery, most useful. Comfortable beds. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Parking right at the front of the room is super convenient. To top it all off it is pet friendly (allowing my two small dogs).

The only thing I could say was the room decor is outdated, but with all the positives it is really a nonissue.

Overnight stay. Running late Manager called us to let us know that Reception would be closed and how to access the room when we arrived. The manager was extremely helpful and understanding. Room was clean and comfortable and had all we needed The Dinosaur at the front of reception was gorgeous 😍

Staff were very helpful and friendly. We only stopped overnight to rest before heading the rest of the way home, so did not want to spend a lot. We really only needed a place to sleep. I wouldn’t stay there for a long period with our daughter, but for a place to rest for the night, the helpfulness of staff was excellent.

Not really family friendly, as in no major facilities for keeping kids entertained. But that is not the aim of these units. So it was not actually a problem for us.

A great and welcoming place, we were running late and they made helpful arrangements for a late check in and we very happy to help with holding our bags before we caught the next plane later the next day (thank you). They are super helpful and it was a supportive place to stop for the night.
