Our stay at the Pack Horse Inn was incredible. It was a last minute stay on our way up to Yorkshire but we ended up wishing we had extended our stay here. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, providing great customer service throughout our stay The rooms were spacious, warm, cosy and clean and the selection of tea and coffee within the room were welcomed after a long drive. The bathroom was also immaculate and the shower was great. All in all couldn’t fault the room at all. The pub itself was cosy and exactly what you think of when it comes to a traditional country pub. The food was incredible! Such a great menu and far exceeded our expectations. The breakfast also was exceptional with many options and the fact it was included in the price was amazing. We had the eggs Benedict and the bacon roll which were delicious Will definitely be returning.

The rooms were exceptional, actually blown away by the quality and were very clean and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. Also liked how the staff weren't put out by showing me to my room and explaining that there is fresh water, milk, tea, coffee and were more than happy to answer any questions

I think it could have benefitted from a sliding internal glazing unit to the front window to help block out the flow of cars/lorries driving by. The thermostat to the heating didn't appear to fully function properly and the heated demisting mirror in the bathroom also didn't work

The venue was a delight to re-visit. All the staff, as ever, were welcoming, friendly and efficient. The room we had was spacious and spotless and the hotel was located perfectly for walking locally and further afield. The breakfast menu was expansive and left us being difficult to make a selection. The evening/dinner menus was also first rate. We wished we could have stayed longer. This was our third visit and we will certainly be making a fourth !

We had one of the 'stable block' rooms, up stone steps from the yard. Plenty of level parking. The room was large, beautifully clean and very comfortable - nicely decorated, good carpet, comfy bed, solid furniture, electric blind to skylight. Fresh milk and water supplied. Daily housekeeping if wanted. En-suite was spacious with an excellent shower. The staff were all great. Very good breakfast, served quickly. We enjoyed our evening meal in the cosy bar area.

This pub is up a long hill from New Mills - you'll need a car. And there's a little bit of traffic noise. While the steps to the room and in the yard are well built, they are quite high - the pub does have a couple of ground floor rooms I understand. A luxury room but you do need to go outside to get to the breakfast room.

Stunning views and a fantastic range of walks directly from the Pack Horse Inn. Staff were really friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was exceptional - best selection of options I've seen in a long time and all the food was really well cooked and tasty with clearly high quality ingredients.

The room was clean enough and functional although a bit dated - peeling wall paper/paint. Could do with a bit of an update.

The bedroom was exceptional and very comfortable. Dinner and breakfats were first class, made even more enjoyable by helpful and caring staff. The setting is qite fine, set at the top of a valley, overlooking twinkling lights in the distance.

Just wish they allowed dogs! I come to this location five or six times a year, but have never stayed here, because I am usually accompanied by small canine, so have to look elsewhere. Shame, real shame.

Good variety of breakfast offerings. Excellent service. Quiet room, albeit on the 2nd floor - you have to carry luggage upstairs. Great to have the pub/restaurant right there; be sure to reserve your table for dinner. We ended up spending more time of our 2-night stay in our room due to my back injury. Staff helped us connect with a local Physio for treatment.

SatNav took us to a neighboring private property with the same Postal Code. A bit confusing.

We appreciated the call before we arrived and the warm welcome when we arrived. Ample car parking and lovely old building which the staff were knowledgeable about.There are some stunning views from the property and footpaths 2 minutes away should one want a country walk. We were staying only one night due to a social event so did n’t have dinner but the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice including fresh fruit salad. I always appreciate proper milk in the room with no throwaway containers and decent tea bags- small things which make a difference.

Great food, great staff, a wonderful pub and Inn. Perfect location for walkers, or if you just want to get away from the daily distractions of life. If I lived nearby, this pub would definitely be my date night go to.

Everything was really good, the only improvement I would consider is adding USB charge ports in the hotel rooms.

A beautiful location for a weekend break, conveniently close to Buxton for a day trip. Friendly helpful staff, and the food was very nice (both dinner and breakfast). It was good to be able to sit out in the beer garden in the evenings.

The mattress was a little soft for our preference, and the room was extremely warm in the hot weather (but a large fan was available to help with this which was appreciated).
