Where to begin? The hotel is in the old town of Avila. Around the corner of the cathedral of Santa Theresa, the hotel is reached by traveling up cobblestoned tiny streets. This after you enter this entirely walled citadel (walls intact!) through one of its smallish gates. With GPS we found the hotel easily. Please reserve a parking place. There are very few available. The welcome was nice, our room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The property has a garden/pool. A tour is given of the property. We booked breakfast and I can recommend the same. It is not buffet style. Of note: the traditional crushed tomatoes with olive oil and salt were the best ever. The hotel does have an elevator.

This handicapped traveler found a very high door sill and sets of steps at the entrance to the hotel. Unmanageable for a wheelchair user. Difficult if one walks assisted. I was not aware of another unobstructed entry to the hotel.

This is a fabulous small boutique style hotel situated just inside the famous walls of Avila. The interior is stunning, and the room was beautifully presented. It is a quiet and nice place to relax, having a glass of wine outside or inside the building after you have done a tour of Avila. We stayed two nights in the hotel. Our lovely Junior suite (no 206) was very well appointed and spacious, equipped with everything you could want. A huge (2x2m) comfy bed and an exceptional huge bathroom with bathtub and walk in shower (see my attached photos). The room had a very efficient air-conditioning which is very important during the summer in Spain! We loved it and would have stayed for much longer if we could! The pool area is the True Paradise area at this hotel (see my photos and you will agree!) Towels are provided FOC, plenty of sun beds and shaded areas. The little bar by the pool was run by a really charming and attentive staff girl. We really liked the breakfast with a set menu (different type of ham, fruit, cheese etc.), eggs as you want them and a small buffet – but a little bit too expensive (25 EUR per person). The dinner was also great – and what a beautiful and romantic area! – you must see my attached phots again to understand! I will recommend you to reserve a parking space at the hotel (20 EUR per night) because this hotel is inside the town wall with no public parking area. As a person who travels a lot, I can highly recommend this hotel if you want to have a quiet and discreet stay in Avila. Regads Svein-Magne Tunli from Bergen, Norway.

The place was incredibly beautiful and very well kept. I loved the relaxing feel that we felt when we stayed there. Paula was exceptional, very friendly, and helpful. She gave us a map of the area and gave us very helpful tips regarding all the places to visit. She even came to the parking area to assist us. This place did feel like we were home. I also loved the breakfast. Definitely, worth it! A lot of care and attention was given to us during breakfast. All locally sourced ingredients and incredibly delicious. Love the board they used and the various items, including the delicious yogurt and natural honey.

The hotel is simply gorgeous with some lovely little historical touches As the tourist season had not really started, we almost had it to ourselves. Lovely room, very clean, nice garden area and sitting room. The staff are lovely. Really nice breakfast. The hotel is perfectly situated just inside the city wall. Our suite had spectacular views right across the Sierra de Gredos mountains.

There was nothing we didn’t love about this hotel. It is stylish, refined, esoteric, central, quiet and also boasts private parking opposite and a terrific team running it. Just great !

The dining experience is lovely but is not elevated to the prices charged. We enjoyed it and thought the open-to-garden restaurant area was lovely but the food just isn’t at the same level as the hotel and decor and comfort.

Beautiful property. Immaculately kept. Towels, pillows, sheets etc are some of the best I’ve experienced amongst European five star hotels. The pool is stunning and the picture posted from the hotel are amazingly accurate.

Staff were just ok (exception Dimitri at the pool who was A++). Restaurant staff were not friendly, or particularly nice. Same goes for hotel staff. Everyone was fine but it felt like we were inconveniencing them by checking in, out, making dinner reservations etc. I expected more from a five star hotel. Want to add, there was a gentleman who worked the front desk overnight/into the early morning who opened the car park for us and was very nice but we didn’t catch his name.

Beautiful property with excellent reception team. We were looked after by the team, they couldn’t do enough for you. The room was beautiful and it was a very quiet and relaxing stay. The hotel restaurant is wonderful and I would recommend for tasty, local dishes with a modern twist.

The location is perfect, the room generous. The Shower perfect plus a tub. Good size basin. Air Con efficient and quiet. The pool small but adequate to cool down not really to swim. Staff friendly and very helpful. The whole place smells so nice. I actually just wanted to live here

The only draw back is breakfast is expensive and you are not offered a " lighter " option

Beautiful boutique hotel inside and outside. The room we had was very comfortable, clean and with everything we needed. Location in Avila and bordering the old city wall is great and just a few minutes walk to all the museums, churches, restaurants…..Saving the best for last - the staff, everyone - was friendly, engaging and went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay. La Casa was the highlight of our Avila visit. PS Really enjoyed the pool and gardens.

3 night stay to explore Alvila and the surrounding area. Excellent choice. We had a standard room on the first floor. Excellent, good size and good bathroom facilities, with large shower and bath. Air con that works. Fab staff, excellent breakfast, the pool area is a hidden jem. We didn't get a chance to try the on-site restaurant. Private secure parking is available at extra cost, worth booking in advance.
