Location is perfect, right in the historical center, that's why we chose this hotel, seemed to be a very good value-price ratio. The interior of the hotel is amazing, a historical building altogether. I can also recommend the hotel restaurant, from breakfast 'til dinner perfect choice for all kinds of meals, very good quality food with reasonable price.
The only thing I didn't like was the cleanliness of the bathroom, the shower/bathtub area had mold! The handshower had a very short cable, it was difficult to take a shower comfortably there. The bathtub had some holes, which they tried to fix, but they were quite visible and I wouldn't want to take a bath there.

The Location was amazing..literally across the street from the Cathedral. Right in the heart of the antique part of Aliva.. The main restaurant was of the highest quality with knowledgeable and professional wait staff. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have experienced and there are also a couple of bars within the hotel worth exploring. Visually it is stunning. Old Avila fused with modern convenience.
This is probably a small thing, but for a Four Star hotel there was no safe in the room. There was no information in the room about amenities. We were booked in for 2 nights yet our WiFi and Room Access was cut off on the first full day we stayed. Whilst this was rectified immediately and without issue, I had booked 2 rooms and both were effected. Again, for a Four Star hotel I was surprised at this slip up, but I understood that when we were checking in it was quite busy. When checking out, the customer experience was cordial and perfunctory but I did not feel like I was valued customer. Would I recommend staying, 100% YES , but be prepared for hiccups.. they will get fixed immediately but they will happen.

Location of hotel ideal right by the cathedral . Charming receptionist could not have been more helpful and we were fortunate to arrive at a time when there was still space in the hotel car park. The interior of the buidling / dining area is beautiful and our room was extremely comfortable. We had dinner in the hotel which was good, exceptional sized portions . Breakfast very much standard hotel-style for this class of hotel. We only stayed a night as we were travelling onwards but just loved the place.
Not possible to reserve parking beforehand . Hate to think where you park if no spaces left , presumably outside the walls. Usual issue of Spanish sausage pillows never understand how anyone sleeps comfortably on them - same across the whole of the hotel industry.

Charming hotel inside the wall and close to everything (we only stayed one night). Breakfast at the hotel was very good and worth the value. Parking at the hotel (below the hotel) was a plus. Our compact car fit easily into the spaces but make sure when you arrive to park on the street and then check in. They will give you your key card to open the the parking gate (very helpful and friendly staff). For dinner we ate at Las Cancelas Resturante (about a 2 minute walk). It was an excellent dinner and highly recommended. The area around the hotel is well lit at night and we felt very safe walking back from the restaurant at 10PM.

Hotel was in a good location for exploring the town. The Hotel car park was full despite our early arrival so a slightly grumpy member of staff directed us to public parking some distance away. Unfortunately the road was closed so we couldn’t follow the directions given. We ultimately found free on street parking much closer to the Hotel anyway. Our room was comfortable but in ancillary building a long way from reception / the entrance. Not ideal given our luggage and negotiating this in motorcycle gear.
Staff were okay at best, arguably a bit on the grumpy side…

Lovely hotel in the heart of Avila. Staff were pleasant and efficient; the room was large, comfortable and very clean. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was really nice with plenty of room for storage; contained a bath and a shower; shaving mirror; good supply of bath products. The restaurant/cafe is lovely, in the old courtyard (covered with a roof). We didn't eat on the restaurant side of the space, but used the cafe a couple of times and enjoyed the food. Breakfast buffet is good - although the continental option is a bit mean - just toast and ONE glass of orange and ONE hot drink!
Nothing - it's a very well-run and comfortable hotel.

Stepping into the courtyard was a take-your-breath-away moment the setting is really lovely. Large, comfortable room. A capacious bathroom done in Delft blue tiles. The multiple course meal in the dining room was very good, but started at 8:30 pm, late for us. We discovered that we could eat at the non linen tablecloth section of dining room from a fine bar menu that provided earlier dining.
The elevator could use adjustment to avoid the feeling it’s breaking down with loud thump and bump.

perfect location next to the Cathedral and Start of the wall. Attractive covered courtyard housing the restaurant The 32 euro tasting menu was good value. our room balcony overviewed the entrance to the cathedral. 15 euro Avila ticket is good value if you make enough of the paid attractions in 48 hours , but most close early. some of the non religious attractions are interesting to visit.
16 euro charge for overnight parking and the room was not very sound proof. There isn't a lift from the carpark to reception so offload your bags at the entrance to the hotel which is further on round the building after you see the hotel sign banner on the back of the hotel

A superb, historic building, centrally located, opposite the Cathedral and a few steps from one of the Gates- Puerta del Peso de la Harina. A 15/20-minute walk from either the train or the bus station. The room was very warm and comfortable, the bed huge and cleaning on a daily basis. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Funny but there was no toilet brush in the rooms.

Right in the heart of the old town. Very attractive rooms with lots of character. A potential 10/10 if it had a pool and....
We did not eat in the restaurant because it was laid out like a school canteen. Planting and the better layout of tables would have created greater intimacy, as would some live or background music. We would have liked to have enjoyed some wine in the lounge area, but were told that this was not allowed! A lounge area within the atrium would have made this possible if the staff did not want to serve in the lounge.
