The location of this beautiful and charming hotel was excellent for getting into town and the views of the lake, alps and city below were breathtaking. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the room and luxurious bathroom. The layout was so perfect with a separation between the bedroom and the bathroom for added privacy. So nice to be able to have the extra space after staying in some tiny rooms during our journey. We also really loved the decor throughout the hotel. The outdoor terrace was a fantastic place to enjoy the views, the sunshine and an evening aperitif. We had four of us traveling together and the two rooms both connected to the terrace. It was a special spot to unwind and talk about or day. The bonus of snacks with our drinks in the evening was such a nice touch, too. The staff were all so warm, welcoming and helpful taking extra measures to make sure we enjoyed our visit! You could not ask for a better experience in Stresa!

Pillows were too hard for my preference... but the bed was comfortable.

Our stay at this hotel was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Lucia and Simona for with their smiling faces, giving us all the information necessary for our stay at Stresa. The breakfast was a great variety and the location of the hotel was a 9 minute walk to the train and bus station and a 5 minute walk to the old town. Well it was practically in the old town. We stayed in the annex room. A simple ,spacious and clean room. There is a terrace where you can enjoy a drink after returning from a nice day out in and around stressa. I strongly recommend, but finding a room may be difficult since it usually is full.

The Hotel Du Park is an authentic green paradise: awesome location to explore Stresa and the Borromean Islands, easy access from the train station and a very scenic view. It was a joy to traverse the beautiful garden each time we were going out or coming back, however, I have to say that the greatest value of this hotel is in its staff. They are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, eager to make the visitor as comfortable as possible. We arrived before the check-in hour but our room was ready. It was clean and the balcony was a delight. Breakfast was very good and both ladies taking care of serving were very attentive. We want to say a big thank you to Lucía, who received us at the reception: such a warm welcome, so natural and kind, thank you for explaining maps and choices even with our crazy plans, and yes, we loved eating at the Papagallo. We will definitely come back to Hotel du Park

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Hotel du Parc. We stayed in the old villa which had absolutely magnificent public spaces. Our bedroom was on the 3rd floor but there is an elevator. The room was large and had a lovely balcony, bed was very comfortable. Room could use some updating but it was really lovely with beautiful views of the lake. I would recommend requesting to be in the old villa, since there is an annex that is more modern. The staff was amazing - breakfast was a beautiful spread each morning and there was a full bar for aperitifs in the evening served with generous snacks which we took up and enjoyed on our balcony each evening before dinner. It is a short walk down the hill to all the activities of the town - there was also parking on site for $8 a day. I really can not say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here.

Bathrooms and Bedrooms could use an update but were totally fine.

Well kept, very clean family hotel in Stresa with much to see on Borromeo islands with superb gardens and villas. 10 min walk to railway station and 5 min walk to embarkment - a key for navigating around Maggiore lake. Very welcoming and helpful staff (special thanks to Lucia at the reception who kindly upgraded our booking to a room with superb view on the lake when we've arrived on a rainy day and told us what to see around in sunnier days). Good breakfast with choices for those who eat something more essential for breakfast then croissant and coffee.

A small family run hotel. Amazing staff - everyone was friendly and helpful. We loved our room (2nd floor, lake view) and balcony. The breakfast was lovely, with fresh homemade cakes every day as well as delicious bread and pastries and savouries. Loved having the option to order cappuccino/ americano or expresso as well as the ordinary coffee. The little bar was a bonus and we enjoyed sitting outside with our drinks in the evenings. The hotel is in a great position only a few minutes walk from shops , bars, cafes and restaurants. The lake and boat stop is only 5-10 minutes walk away.

We liked the proximity to the town of Stresa and Lake Maggiore and its islands; just a five minute walk into town. We loved the view from our top floor room and the elegant architecture of the hotel. The lady on reception was very welcoming and gave excellent advice about the area and things that we should do during our stay. There was a good range of continental breakfast items. We appreciated a good range of TV channels including some in English.

There was no where comfortable to sit in our room apart from on the bed, although there was comfortable seating downstairs. We would have appreciated having a kettle in our room to make hot drinks.

We were truly fortunate because when we arrived the receptionist told us that they had upgraded us to a suite. We were given the biggest suite in the main house, rathe than a room in the annexe, because we were staying for a week and it happened to be vacant. We had a beautiful suite with huge bathroom, at the front of the house, with views across the lake from our large terrace. The hotel was as described online, a villa set in its own garden and grounds just above the town. It took around five minutes to walk down to the lake front and shops. All the staff were very friendly and helpful - they offered true hospitality. Breakfast was a good buffet, plenty of choice of fresh food and the recption staff would serve drinks during the day if we needed to rest and escape the sun. The dining room was very sunny and welcoming. We were delighted with our choice of hotel.

Everything was so pleasant it is hard to say what was not good. We wished that the TV had offered one English speaking news channel, as we were away during the general election but that was a minor issue

Hotel Du Parc is a beautiful older, but updated and well maintained property overlooking the Stresa old town and Lake Maggiore. The reception staff were extremely positive and helpful in all matters. The rooms are very large and clean with comfortable beds. The bathroom is nice but less spacious. Our room had wonderful views of the lake and surrounding mountains over the rooftops of Stresa. The old city piazza is a 6 minute walk, and the beautiful lake front is 12 minute walk. There is very easy access by ferry to the Borromean Islands and other lake ports, roughly every 30 minutes. The breakfasts were wonderful. Reserving parking for your car is a must because there is not any easy secure parking nearby.

The WIFI was not able to reach our 3rd floor room, so we had to sit in some of the (nice) ground floor common rooms to access internet in the evenings. (It would be an easy low cost investment to place WIFI boosters in the hotel.) The morning after we arrived was apparently trash pick up and we were startled awake at a very early pre-dawn hour to the very loud sounds of crashing breaking glass. It was quite a shocking wake up.

The Hotel du Parc is a wonderfully authentic Belle Epoque villa, with rooms and furnishings evoking the grand period. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the room was very spacious with a delightful terrace and view of the lake. The extensive public sitting rooms on the ground floor were a great bonus as somewhere to relax. The hotel is a 10 minute fairly level walk from the train station.

Some more facilities for guests to make tea or coffee would be very welcome, rather than having to request from the kitchen / bar.
