This accomodation was one of the best we stayed at during our travels and specifically in portugal doing the Camino. We were a group of 7 and split into the 5 person apartment and twin room. The check in was seamless, rooms were clean and comfortable. The location could not have been any better right next to the church in Barcelos and near restaurants and shops. The breakfast offered next door had plenty to fuel us for the next day's walk. Definitely more expensive than the pilgrim albergue but if you can swing it it's worth the price for comfortable room, hot shower, location and breakfast included. Highly recommend for pilgrims or any travelers to Barcelos.

The location was easy to find, right in the historic center. I was surprised to get upgraded to a large room with a kitchenette, which was very spacious and convenient. The decor was beautiful and relaxing, and the bed was very comfortable. As I was leaving early the next morning before breakfast was served, the staff packed me a very complete breakfast and left it in my room the evening before. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and stay here again!

There was a stage set up just down the street and the music was loud into the night, but I was there on the eve of a holiday, so maybe that's to be expected.

This was one of my favourite stays while walking the Portugese Camino, one night was just not enough. I loved the decor of the bedroom, generous space and plenty of room to store luggage, tea/coffee making facilities, iron, mini-bar frig, good WIFI and access to our Netflix account. Well presented clean bathroom with sufficient toiletries provided and big flufy towels. The bed with six pillows was very comfortable. The spaces from the staircase leading to guest rooms were stylish and inviting. The highlight of the stay was the delicious buffet breakfast served in the adjoining cafe, plenty of food choices, tea and coffee as you like, friendly staff and delightful background music. Loved this stay, loved Barcelos.

Checking-in from the adjoining cafe, the staff member lacked giving us instructions to follow her, she just got up and walked out the door to the guesthouse without us. The air-conditioner did not keep temperature and made random noises.

Casa da Ana guest house was conveniently located just yards Santa Maria Maior church at Largo do Apoio plaza. It is blockes away from the town center, shopping on Rua Antonio Barroso the historic attractions, supermarkets and restaurants. We had a top floor which had a low ceiling, but had four comfortable beds and plush plillows. Air-conditioning was great after a harhard day on the camino. A convenient refrigerator and coffee maker was provided. Opening the sky light revealed a wowonderful view. No elevator though, which was not a issue for us since we were on the Camino de Santiago .Price was excellent especially for 3 adults. Highly recommend.

I did not realized that I had booked the attic which has a large double bed and two single beds EXCEOT that the ceiling is very low for about 80% of the surface of the room. As I am 187 cm, this was not the best for me! That said this is a very nice little boutique hotel. Very clean and well situated. As we wanted to leave early the next morning (Camino) they brought our breakfast the night before and we could leave it in the fridge and ate in our room when we woke up and left by 7:00.

The location is great, right in the center of Barcelos (right on the Camino if you are planning on doing the Camino de Santiago). It is in front of a plaza with other cafes and restaurants and near the main points of interest in the town. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast included son Pasteis de Nata which was a nice touch.

It is not something we did not like but a note for those walking the Camino -- if you are a pilgrim there is no place to wash your clothes.

Beautiful little boutique hotel in the historical center of Barcelos. The hotel is located in a historical building made of stones, maintaining the original structure and combining it very well with modern elements and architecture. We got an upgrade which was a nice surprise, a beautiful, spacious apartment with a kitchen. Very nice and clean room with beautiful decorations with local handicrafts and a lot of small details, a big and very comfortable bed, very good, hot shower. The kitchen was fully equipped and suitable for cooking meals. Very good and abundant breakfast in the café nearby. The staff was very nice. We definitely recommend it and would come again.

Only one small thing as an improvement suggestion: Please advise the guests in advance that the check-in is in the the café. When we arrived, with quite heavy rain, the main door was locked, there was no one at the reception and we didn't know how to get in or where to ring the bell. After a while standing in the rain, we finally realized that there was a note written on the main door which was hardly visible.

Lovely and quiet 6 rooms hotel with 3-4 floors (no elevator in case you should need one). Room very tidy with well working air con if needed (easy to operate type), nice bed. Well functioning & tidy bathroom w/ shower. Located in "old town" equals relaxing nights sleep especially when other guests were mostly on pilgrimage of some short or business travelers (April might be good time for both). Breakfast was served in a little café next door, simple & very fresh and nice - with oven fresh Pasteis de Nata served daily, loved it. Will hopefully return.

The location is excellent and the room was super. The king bed for 2 was nice but had a hump in the middle which meant using the middle of the bed for 2 persons a bit of a problem ( we like to sleep close together). Other than that small thing it was very good.

Just that bed with the hump in the middle. The sheets and pillows were excellent. The cafe and pub next door were excellent. Especially after a long day on the camino.

Location of apartment was comfortable and close to restaurants, shopping and located on the camino on a nice plaza, great for relaxing with a drink and snack. Breakfast is provided however we left early in the morning and so a breakfast platter was sent to our room the evening prior and it included more than enough and exceeded our exceptions. We slept in the twins beds as the low ceiling and hot sun on the upper floor with the double bed was very warm and up stairs that could be somewhat tricky during the night to make your way down. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Stayed in the attic room, the ceiling was low and so if you are on the taller side this may not be the apartment for you. Bathroom was on the smaller side but we managed to get our camino laundry done. A clothes rack was not available but we managed to get clothes dry by hanging them on a makeshift “clothesline" using our hiking poles and the bright sun through the ceiling sky light windows;)
