Great location, easy walking distance to a very pleasant part of town. Parking outside the hotel and across the street in the park. Weekly market on Thursdays so don't park there on Wednesday nights as you might be trapped, the market is huge. Underground parking available in the basement if required. Excellent breakfast and plenty of everything, well staffed too. Roof terrace available if al fresco breakfast is your thing, fabulous views. Helpful reception staff. Bagoeira Restaurant is also open to non residents and it's superb. I know it from previous visits when I used to do business with a local clothing manufacturer. It was as good as I remembered and some of the same staff still work there, service is superb and there's a huge open kitchen. You can eat expensively or reasonably, extensive menu and wine list. Open lunchtime and Evenings. Great location, Braga and Guimaraes not far away and Esposende out on the coast has excellent beaches and is an easy drive.

Honestly can't think of anything negative, a great place to stay and town that rewards at least a couple of nights stay.

The checkin was smooth. The room was comfortable. The room has a view to the Feira de Barcelos, which is open every Thursday. The room has a mini fridge. The place is at the very central location, near the original Gallo de Barcelos. The buffet breakfast was very good with a good selection of chacuterie, cheese, egg, fruits, cakes, tea and coffee. Highly recommended.

Nothing, but wish they have shared washing machines.

I wasn't intending to stay in a hotel, but by the time I booked this was the only place available. The receptionist was welcoming and helpful, and in the end I didn't mind pampering myself with a great room after a couple of long days on the road. And a pretty decent buffet breakfast to get me moving the next day!

I just had to park my bike against the wall in the corner of the underground carpark, there was nothing to lock it too. Although the garage is only opened by the receptionist/security, some bike racks would make cyclists feel more comfortable about leaving their bikes.

The facade of the hotel is from the 1930's, but the actual hotel and restaurant were built maybe circa 1990. Usually an hotel's restaurant is a poor "add on". Not in this case, the restaurant is AMAZING and it's the best part of the hotel. Outstanding food, wine and service. You'd be a fool not to enjoy it. Recommended!

Everything was good. No complaints from me.

Very centrally located in the town. Rooms spacious and clean. Staff helpful and there's a reception desk on hand. Breakfast was quite good. Went to the attached restaurant for dinner where the staff were attentive and food good.

I stayed on the night of the "Festa das Cruzes" which was very loud and there was noise until about 4:30am so didn't sleep great. Though not the hotel's fault and my rating doesn't reflect this. I was given a room at the back of the hotel which I think helped. Hotel probably could do with a little modernising.

The location was perfect for the Camino. i was leaving early before breakfast was served but I was supplied with a packed version instead.

Lacking in energy. No bar. There was what felt like a thick waterproof mattress protector on the bed. When pulling the sheet out at the side to allow entry to the bed, the tucked-in sides of the protector were pulled out. During the night, the now unsecured protector became rucked up into uncomfortable hard ridges detracting from a comfortable night’s sleep.

Central location. Friendly helpful staff. Decent breakfast provided in pleasant surroundings

Coffee provided from machine at breakfast not very nice. Would be nice if they opened up the restaurant or breakfast room to provide a relaxed bar and snacks area.

A great place to stay, easy for the Camino route. Central for a quick sightsee, restaurants, shops etc.. Decent sized room, good aircon, comfy beds and really good breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff.

Only thing missing for me was a kettle to make tea, would have been perfect. Not standard it seems in Portugal as it is in many other countries

Loved staying at Hotel Bagoeira with the most wonderful friendly staff. Hotel was very clean & delicious breakfast included & the restaurant downstairs was amazing!!!

This hotel is on the Camino and right in the city center. My room was huge and had a bathtub, nice for soaking feet. Breakfast was great. Terrific value for price

The mattress was lumpy. Hotel is next to police station and across from a busy bus stop, but the street was quiet by 8pm
