Breakfast was amazing, I recommend the Royal Benedict. The restaurant also served great food, the Mussels were my favourite. Located right in the middle of Boscastle so location could not be better for visiting the Witches Museum or the Other World Shop. Boscastle itself is well placed to visit the rest of Cornwall and is stones throw away from Tintagel.

Parking is free for guests but the spaces are tight and everyone (even people visiting the restaurant) wants one! Parking is actually plentiful at the pay display and is free after 4pm so we timed our returns on a day out to then (but managed to get a space at the hotel anyway).

I enjoyed a couple of nights here mid week in a small cosy room for one. The bed was super comfortable and the mini bar and amenities were really great. My requirement for non feather bedding and oat milk in room was gratefully heeded. The Wellington has undergone a recent refurbishment so it was wonderful timing to enjoy this newly styled pub hotel which now has a lot of style and boutique hotel features. Without exception all of the staff I met were a delight and bright and smiley in the morning at breakfast. The vegan breakfasts were banging. Wonderful and so well cooked, it really was a highlight to start the day with tasty and well presented food. For its standing in Boscastle it feels like the most put together and well designed accommodation. With lovely terraces out front and a short walk to the harbour it felt really homely while I travelled nearby for work. I will enjoy to come back again for a holiday soon.

The Turret room is huge, with lots of windows allowing natural light. The bed was very comfortable (also huge), and the room was spotlessly clean. The staff were really friendly & helpful, amending my booking for me and finding me a fan. The location is perfect for coastal path walking, tintagel castle & St Nectans Glen, plus Boscastle itself is beautiful. The breakfast was lovely. My poached eggs were perfect, and the pastries were great quality. There was a decent continental selection, cereal & fruit as well.

There isn't a huge amount of parking, but I used the pay & and display, which is round the corner, and prices were reasonable

Staff were wonderful, really went out of their way to help us out. The carpark is first-come-first-serve; they were keeping an eye out for people who were leaving so we could park up for the night. Lovely feel to the bar area. Our room was quiet, maybe because we were top floor. We loved breakfast, it was a nice, relaxing atmosphere and plenty of dietary requirements. We stayed in October half term - a busy time but, still we were looked after amazingly well. The young man who was our server was outstanding, I wish I remembered his name!

Our bed was really squeaky. So much so that you couldn't even turn over quietly (it was two beds together and we think it was the headboard). Food was great, but there weren't enough choices for gluten AND dairy free. However, I realise it's hard to cater for everyone. The food we ordered was lovely however!

We had originally booked the apartment but this wasn’t available on the day. We were rebooked into a lovely room and breakfast was included. The hotel had been recently redecorated inside and the terrace refurbished outside (with heaters), it looked great. We also managed to secure a free parking space in the carpark which was an added bonus.

Unfortunately on the second morning we were told that some food wasn’t available as there hasn’t been a delivery. This didn’t affect the cooked to order hot breakfast which was delicious.

Great location near the Harbour, very interesting old hotel with people witnessing ghosts in some rooms, when yiu enter yiu room there is booklet telling you which famous people from history have stayed in the room. Our room was very comfortable and quaint.Another thing we liked was the tiered beer garden with individual gardens at different levels. Stash brilliant and breakfast superb.

On the whole pleased with everything but our room (very top room), the toilet and shower room was tiny with hardly any room to use the toilet. The only other thing was the low beams which we liked but could be a bit dangerous if moving around in the dark to go to the Loo

Every staff member (reception, bar, dining room) was outstanding. I was travelling with my dog, but I was not put in a substandard "dog room" but enjoyed a luxurious room, compete with a dog welcome basket. The staff in the dining room cheerfully stepped over and around the many dogs in the room, making all of owners feeling relaxed and not apologetic for having a dog. The decor and furnishings throughout the hotel were outstanding, while the bed, pillows and linen were obvioulsy top quality.

The hotel was lovely and the staff couldn’t have done enough for us. The hotel had recently undergone a renovation and the rooms smelled fresh and clean. Everything was fantastic and breakfast was lovely! The only small complaint I have is that the soundproofing in our room wasn’t very good so we could clearly hear the entertaining from the bar below in our room (we were two floors above I believe). Other than that, it was a lovely stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a somewhere to stay in Boscastle.

Friendly hotel, in a beautiful historic location. Car parking available next to hotel. Had to change first room due to the height of the ceiling for my husband and was allocated a lovely alternate room with no fuss. Good meal in the pub restaurant in the evening, and we took part in the pub quiz which was fun and a fabulous breakfast in the morning served by an excellent member of staff, very attentive and friendly.

This is an old historical building, so you have to expect quirky rooms etc. Our first room we were allocated was lovely, but had low ceilings and very close to the road, as my husband is tall we thought it best to move and this was arranged with no fuss.

The hotel is in the centre of Boscastle so easy walking to shops and the harbour. The staff were all really pleasant and friendly. I stayed in the Guy Gibson Room which was huge. The bed was really big and the duvet and pillows were so comfy. If you’re after a special break or night away, paying extra for the bigger rooms is worth it.

There was a smell in the room when you walked in (like someone had been to the toilet!) but I couldn’t work out where the smell was coming from and it disappeared after a while (or I just got used to it). Also, the toilet in this particular bathroom was right in front of the window and there are houses across the way, albeit higher up. And the shower, in my opinion, was much too small for the size of room you get. It was a squeeze to get in! There’s lots of space in that bathroom where the shower could be extended to a walk in.
