when you see the hotel from the outside, you think, oh no what have I booked! - but the reception was clean and the lady was very friendly. There is a lift. Our room was larger than I thought it would be with an enormous bed, the linen was clean. there was also a very large balcony, which was a bonus. the bathroom had the shower in the bath, but was hot and had a good pressure. This is not a posh hotel, but for what it was, I was pleasantly surprised. Really good value for money, it's right on the road, but even with the windows open...it was a really hot night, the traffic wasn't bad. There is a fan in the ceiling to keep you cool should you need it. Overall, great value for money, right in the centre of Saintes

Comfortable hotel in the centre of Saintes with friendly and welcoming staff. Secure covered bicycle storage in the hotel's garage. Good buffet breakfast with a wide choice. Very good value for money hotel close to the Charente River long-distance cycle route and only a 10 minute cycle to the train station. Close to restaurants the hotel is thoroughly recommended for a stay in Saintes.

Nothing to dislike but it is worth noting that check-in closes at 21.00 hours.

This is a comfortable mid-range hotel on the edge of Saintes town centre; shops, restaurants and the cathedral are all 5 to 10 minutes' walk. The rooms are comfortable and clean; staff were very friendly and breakfast was good value.

Very central and lovely helpful lady on reception. Nice to have kettle and coffee in the room.

Would have been nice to have a complimentary bottle of water in the room.

We arrived very early as we discovered when we got there that reception didn't open till 4.00pm. the receptionist however checked us in at 1.00pm and we were able to spend a lovely afternoon in town which was very close by. Lovely room, and a lift up to our floor was appreciated. Breakfast room was really nice with plenty of choices.

I stay here regularly enroute to Spain and I keep returning due to the welcome I receive and the ideal location just off the Toll Rd.

Parking can be awkward sometimes

The bathroom door was hard to close and the lock stuck - with someone inside. Had to call the owner.
