this hotel is very charming, super clean, modern meets rustic and nestled in a cute vineyard near Gouveia with fruit trees and olive trees. the yard it has a stable with horses, many birds all around and a (lot of) shelter for abandoned dogs (safely behind fences). indoors you will find 2 charming cats that want to cuddle and super friendly staff. the hotel has their own wines, jams, olive oil and locally produced cheeses. the restaurant is very nice and we really advise to take a few Madre De Aqua wines home!

they had recently changed the wall paper in our room and this smelled a bit strange. we found out after “ sniffing around”. for this reason we aired our room and kept the sliding door open. we also recommend to take some slippers in the cold season as the hard stone floor can be a bit cold.

This place is super special. It is in a very rural area and I would recommend having a car. If you need endless entertainment, this is not the place for you. If you like to watch horses roam in an open field, eat delicious local food, enjoy great hospitality and wine...then this might be your jam.

I will go back. Bring good books to read and a sunhat.

Architecture was perfect, solid buildings, design of room. The atmosphere was great. The staff was excellent, friendly, sincere, welcoming, and always willing to help. Seeing the beautiful horses galloping next to the room was truly amazing. Breakfast in the dining room was filled with fresh fruits from the farm and great tasting breads. Dinner was amazing with terrific wines from the farm both full bodied and light. Even the vegetarian options were perfect.

Overall there wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Great staff, Really top-notch dinners at the on-site restaurant. very unique setting and property as described. We really enjoyed walking the vineyards and into the small village adjoining.

Breakfast does not start till 9:00, really too late if you have a full day planned, hopefully they will move start time to 8:00 or earlier.

Peaceful, relaxed stay. Pool great, balcony great...staff very professional and attentive. The room was immaculate, the bed/bedding was super comfy. Ate at the establishment which was very nice. Stayed one night prior to a glorious Serre Estrella drive.

A window between the bathroom and bedroom made us feel weird)))) You really should do something with that. We stayed with family, so we just made a lot of jokes about it. But a romantic stay for a couple might be really awkward. Consider using some matte film for that window, that should not be expensive solution.

Fantastic location - wonderfully quiet and relaxing. Staff were super friendly and helpful (especially Joao) throughout our stay. Rooms were clean, tastefully decorated and with great views across the farm. We ate in the hotel every evening and found the food to be tasty, well presented and good value. Wines were great too ;).

Would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

A very special place within an agriturismo setting. The staff were very welcoming and seemed to be passionate about the hotel and what it stood for - local produce, its own wines and nuts, the way it sat within the nature around it.

On my wish list would be that they had a comfortable area outside to enjoy and aperitif before dinner.

After traveling around Portugal for a few days this was the perfect spot to rest and relax for a night. The staff was wonderful, friendly, and very accommodating. The views from the hotel and the rooms are spectacular. The restaurant was great for a dinner in and breakfast had many yummy selections!

Loved it all - perhaps was hoping for more local food for breakfast/ dinner but all in all it was beautiful. Especially loved the rooms, the views from the room, and gorgeous winery views all around.

Wish the breakfast was more focused on local.
