It was comfortable and clean.

It was very difficult to find and once we found it, we had to figure out where to get our key. There were signs pointing to reception, but they didn't make sense. A kind neighbor who spoke English rescued us and took us to the big hotel where we were to register.There used to be a great view, but the big hotel that owns it is adding on, and the new structure blocks the view. They tell you to run the shower for 15 minutes to get hot water, but after 25 it was still barely warm.

The location of the property is wonderful, everything is nearby. The checkin process was good, I liked the electric lockers. There are AC in the property, so it was not cold for us during cold March days.

Some maintenance for the shower cabin shall be done - it is a bit leaking to the floor (just put a silicone on the corner). This is a really minor issue and I'm sure owners will care of it.

The breakfast was really great (extensive with a mountain view!), the bed was comfy, the AC was spot on, there was a spacious bathroom, the location has a great view and is close to Manteigas (it's just 15-20 min walk to the center which we enjoyed to do daily), and the staff was so nice. Everybody was nice, but the woman with the black braid during breakfast was exceptionally sweet and made sure everything and everyone was taken care of, and made us yummy espressos every morning. Thank you, everyone. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

It seems that because the hotel is made in an old building, the shower needs some time to heat up. It's mentioned on the informative sheet in the room, and it's fine once you get used to it. Tip: Just give it some time (10-15 min) before you want to shower and check sometimes if it's hot, and if two people need to shower, go right after each other instead of turning the shower off in between :)

Great view of Manteigas and the valley. Our stay here was exceedingly comfortable, the accomodation has a lot of interesting history and feels like a lodge. Breakfast was phenomenal, better then almost all hotels I get to in the US.

While the guest house was closed during our booking, the staff was very friendly and booked us into the next-door hotel. We had an amazing experience with the staff and Manteigas is sooo beautiful.

This property is attached to the main hotel. While you cannot make use of the hotel facilities you do have breakfast there. Breakfast is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful.

No power points near the bed

Studio was in a very nice house, it was large for 4 people (2 kids). The location is great around mountains and close for trekking. Good breakfast. Room and bathroom were very clean.

The breakfast is only available at 8:30. We want to go to a trek early and we had to wait until 8:30.
