Staff was super nice, helpful and friendly! Location is good, a 15-20 minute walk to the village but beautiful hikes in the mountains start right at the doorstep and a supermarket 1 minute away. And the views from the hotel are amazing! We also had dinner one night at the hotel which was really good.

We asked for a double bed, but we got two seperate beds due to availability. But that is the only “negative” I can think of, because our stay was amazing!

Hotels is located on a hill overlooking the city of Manteigas and the hill/forest behind it. Room was spacious and clean with heating working properly (it was winter and drizzle / snow). Bed was comfortable. There's plenty of space for parking and the staff was very attentive and nice. The restaurant in the hotel gets busy for dinner, so if you want to eat there make sure to have a reservation. Breakfast was simple but good with a lot of products from the area (cheese, honey).

We had a beautiful view from our room and the dining room. We only stayed one night and I wish we had more time to enjoy our private balcony facing the town of Manteigas. Everyone was helpful and kind and made sure we were comfortable. I highly recommend the restaurant for dinner and make sure to try the Serra da Estrela cheese! The breakfast is fresh and varied. I highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful venue extremely cozy with a chalet-like interior. They provide excellent warm rooms with heated floors and towels, plenty of space and blankets and a wonderful balcony.

They don’t offer options for dairy-free milk. Very pricey for one night but as I was visiting during New Year’s Eve and did not book my stay in advance one can understand why.

Marco was amazing. So friendly, funny, helpful and generous. While having a beer on the patio area, I was busy sowing a torn bag I use to carry small items (GPS, Go-pro camera, cell phone holder, cell phone, charging cable,etc) when Marco brought tje beers. Soon after, he arrived with a replacement bag and gave it to me. So thoughtful and I call this generosity of spirit. Restaurant had great food and all the staff were so friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was good, we loved the big balcony of our room with a pool view. The room was a good size and the bathroom was all we needed. There was a good ambiance in the hotel, it felt homely and comfortable. There is a restaurant in the hotel which we didn't use but it came highly recommended. The location was fab with stunning mountain views around us. Good outside terrace to enjoy a drink and the views.

We stayed here when our original hotel had to close at short notice. It was built and is still run by a local family who spent some years working in Switzerland (hence the name). It is a small, modern hotel, with a pool, a bar and a restaurant full of Spanish visitors. Clearly a place people return to.

It is a great, clean, simple hotel. Rooms are very comfortable, clean and recently renovated bathrooms. Really nice breakfast and super well maintained!

More leisure things to do - maybe adding a sauna would add value to the facilities

Quiet location, a bit out of the centre. The room is equipped well in a functional kind of way. There was a good view from the balcony. Breakfast was included.

There's a lack of local dining options so we tried the restaurant. We didn't think the restaurant food was either well-cooked or tasty, despite the Google rating.

The swimming pool is amazing. We really appreciated using the pool and the garden when we came back from our trips from mountains. The staff are very nice, Mr. Berne and his family should be very proud of his family business. Everything was perfect.
