Absolutely loved this hotel, the value for money was fantastic and the medieval buffet is definitely worth a visit and great value for money also with plenty of delicious food. The breakfast buffet was also a real delight, the staff that I interacted with were all very pleasant especially the reception lady,Angela I think her name was and Paulo at the medieval buffet service, room was spacious and very clean and good bathroom, the place is charming and not one of these modern soulless places. Highly recommend this hotel.

I know tea and coffee facilities ( electric kettle)aren't the norm in most hotels in Portugal, however I feel I would definitely have no problem paying an extra 2 euros a night for the convenience of having one,

Actually, we loved everything 😊 From the start, the reception staff were friendly and informative. The room was spotless and the view excellent 😌 We were half board - SO worth it ! The Dinner was Buffet style, 5 hot meats (one of which was tentacles) with a good variety of roasted vegetables, potatoes and rice. Also, an excellent choice of cold cuts and tables of breads and desserts 🍪 Being buffet we could have a little of this, a little of that and then go back for a couple of bits that looked really good but we weren't sure that we'd have room for them ! As it turned out, we did 😋 The evening was quiet, the night sky amazing. Breakfast was a buffet, in a different restaurant with views across the mountain. Again, excellent choices available 😋 Into the pool for a swim, it's quite chilly to start with, half of the pool is outdoors 🙃 through a gap in the wall. Again, everything spotlessly clean 👏 So, a really lovely experience all round 🥰

The location was simply the best. It was my first visit to Portugal on my favourite mode of transport, by motorbike, and I couldn’t have stayed at a better place. The staff were incredibly friendly and super helpful. The delicious breakfast made the whole experience so good that I’ve already rebooked the same hotel to visit with my family. Not just for the breakfast, but the entire experience.

The room was a little dated and could use modernisation. Smart TVs would be a nice touch. Not a fan of wearing pool caps 😉

Our accommodation was great, separate lounge, a tv in the lounge as well as the bedroom although we didn’t turn either of them on! Bright airy bathroom with plenty of space. The half board package was well worth it, the evening buffet was really excellent, something for everyone. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A great location for motorbiking and easy onsite parking.

Old building, it will soon need some tlc. The speakers serving the outside area were very crackly and the repetitive jangly music was quite irritating.

The ambience and decoration was really beautiful and the staff was exceptionally nice. The food in the restaurant was divine and breakfast had a good variety of food for all tastes. The overall prices outside of the package are adequate too. Everywhere we went in the facilities, it was super cozy and warm even though it was freezing outside.

Sometimes we could hear children scream from the other rooms across the hall, but I don't think this is really 100% on the hotel to control, other than maybe some better isolation through the doors. For us, it was not a big issue.

We are a group of six mature motorcyclists touring in the Sierra Estrella area, and stayed in this hotel for three nights to make the most of the mountain roads and scenery, which are stunning. The hotel is really good value (as off-peak ski-lodges tend to be), staff were excellent (shout out to Mozart in the bar), food was great and good value, and the added benefit of an indoor pool which was lovely and warm. Just what you need after a day's riding in the mountains. Highly recommended.

Very helpful staff, beautiful localisation, swimming pool with sun-beds, a lot of common places (inside and outside) for work/ play board games/ drink wine/ read etc. Hotel is very close to Torre, the view is amazing and you can meet goats :)

Room was a little bit dark, but we mostly spend time outside so it was not that problematic, nearest shop in Covilhã (so in case you don't want to go there during your stay be prepared in advance), not much space outside for outdoor activities (playing ball or something) - most space is parking so it's not very safe to play there.

Hotel location is great for relaxing with the mountain climate, fresh air, near hiking trails and wonderful views from the hotel as well as its surroundings. Breakfast quality is superb, staff were very friendly, room is aged, but very special and had everything working perfectly.

If anything, I'd say parts of the hotel could be modernized. This being said, hotel was fully functional, despite being a little old looking.

Lovely warm room and cosy bed. Breakfast was a smashing buffet. My wife enjoyed the pool (she bought a cap prior to arriving, but you can buy one at the hotel €5). Evening meal was €25pp buffet, but we didn't eat there. Good WiFi. There appears to be a bus service at least twice a day. There is a PR walk route nearby which is well sign posted, spectacular scenery and geology (rough terrain, takes about 2.5-3hrs). Friendly staff. Will stay again.

The hotel is located in the heart of Serra da Estrela, in picturesque surroundings that look straight out of a movie. The staff is very helpful and the breakfast is very complete. The bedrooms, although a bit old, are comfortable.

The pool is quite small compared with the photos, but nice to use. The bedrooms are a bit old and could use some renovation. In the room, it could have a Smart TV instead of a TV.
