With the exception of the daily 5:30 a.m. CRASH of the dumpster outside being dropped, followed by the roar and whistle of the trash truck with a turbo diesel, we found the hotel to be pretty quiet unlike most we've used. There were a couple of minor maintenance items, like a loose faucet handle, but all told, the room was quite satisfactory. The room was clean, smelled fine, the towels were plentiful (though scratchy) and the bedding was very good. Since we were in-town to assist with a house move, we had no time or energy to try facilities like the pool or gym. If we have occasion to visit the area in the future, we'll likely use this hotel again.

Upon check-in, after having prepaid for the stay, we were told that a daily charge of $25 would be applied to our credit card to cover "incidentals". I asked the clerk, "What are 'incidentals'?" He replied "Incidentals." "Like?" "Anything you might order." "I won't be ordering anything." "I'm sorry, it's company policy. If there are no incidentals ordered then it will be credited back to your account in 7-14 days." So, Holiday Inns decided to grant itself a two-week interest-free loan for $75 for my 3-day stay. This was not a great greeting after pulling-in from a 400 mile drive.

The breakfast was good, but I thought breakfast was included in the price of the room. I don't remember Booking.com indicating that it would not be included. I missed seeing grits or sausage gravy on the breakfast buffet for us Southerners. The location was fine and close to where our daughter lives. It was not far from NC State where our daughter graduated.

The room was huge, the bed extremely comfortable, we had facilities to make a drink. The swimming pool, while very small was a lovely bonus and we had a cocktail in the bar. The breakfast was fantastic- really enjoyable.

The air conditioning machine in the room was very noisy and we were unable to change the temperature or settings so it was cold.

Housekeeping woke us up twice on the day we were checking out. We were leaving at noon, but the lady knocked on our door at 11. I said we are checking out at noon. Then about 15 minutes later, she knocked again very loudly!!! Again I said "I already told you that we are checking out at noon!"

Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were friendly. Close proximity to dining and shopping downtown.

The parking lot was a nightmare! Small compact parking at angles all through parking deck. If you drive an suv you took a chance of someone hitting your car or bumping it with doors getting into vehicles. A parking area was behind the parking deck pretty much an alley way. Didn’t feel safe or secure to leave vehicle. Homeless had tent pitched in same area they wanted you to leave your vehicle overnight.

The location was good for an event I needed to attend. The room was fine, clean and comfortable.

I had requested a quiet room away from elevators, etc and was given a room right next to the elevator. I asked for a receipt; was told they could not give me one because the room was reserved through a third party. I have never heard that in 10 years of booking through this site.

Sorry not big on breakfast so we sleep a little longer

The customer service could use a little more training. Once I arrive that Friday afternoon in the evening it must have been the B-team no greeting or enjoy your stay.

Very clean, bed was comfortable! Love the soaps they use, my skin felt really soft and clean. The front desk ladies are awesome and very friendly and professional! Definitely would stay again.

The water pressure could be better, but it worked.

Loved the property it was clean pleasant smell nice breakfast buffet and night time bar for drinks

There was a few hairs on the bathroom floor but other than that very clean I think maybe because we did an early check in they might have been rushing to accommodate us but everything else was very clean

Location to RDU Airport was convenient, & the heated swimming pool.

It was not clearly advertised that breakfast was $14. At the business center, we could not print our boarding pass although it was advertised that you could. The printer did not work at all. Someone tried to fix it but could not!
