Very nice rooms, spacious, comfortable and clean. Helpful reception staff who was able to give us a lot of good advice on things to do and how to organise things. Rodrigo in particular was very helpful. I would return. The hotel and the owner are well integrated in Pelourinho and do a lot to support the local community and local causes.

Breakfast wasn’t amazing. The quality of bread / cheese / ham / yoghurt wasn’t the best. Availability of some European style products might be limited given it is Brazil but I feel like they could do more to play to the strengths of locally available produce.

beautiful decor, modern bathrooms, lovely dining area. hotel is in the center of Pelourinho (old city) and there are areas in this district not to go as a tourist, but it is the center of all the things you WANT to experience in Salvador, so this hotel is in ideal location. it’s on a nice street, quiet at night but near music, bars, restaurants. police are very present so walking is safe at night. we spent six nights in the hotel: wonderful staff! we arranged two tours with hotel before arriving and that added to our experience. it’s also close to Bale Foclorico - a must see (Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights only -as we understand it)

I loved the location of the hotel being directly into the center of all activities. Let's and very close to the center where it was very walkable. The staff was amazing from the beginning to the end, from our front desk manager to the bartender to the waitstaff they were all excellent and consistently helpful to us. I loved the beautiful rooms. The large space it was comfortable. The bed was comfortable, which is rare for me in most hotels. I love the old time feel of the hotel. You know, and it just felt so inviting.

The one thing that would have been really good, and I mean it may not be something that's possible in a hotel centered where it is, with all of the walking and the hills and the cobblestones, it would have been nice to have some type of a spa service or some partnership with a day spa in the area, because after long days of sightseeing and shopping, it would have had a nice ending to the trip. Otherwise I don't really have anything I didn't like about the property itself.

This hotel is a gem. Staff, facility, location, room.....everything was great! We really had a wonderful time over the New Year. They provided very personalized service of high quality. Located in the centre of Pelourinho and easy access to every attraction, restaurant, and sight of interest. The hotel itself, including our room, was beautiful, and its restaurant was excellent. We highly recommend.

Extremely central in the heart of the old town. Our balkony had a beautiful view over the bay. We also received very good advice and guidance from reception at the outset on where to go and not to go. Staff was very friendly throughout. Taxi's can enter the historic streets and take you to the front entrance. Reception can call a taxi anytime, but we usually walked up to a taxi stand at the end of the street. We felt very safe in the neighbourhood.

The whole team, especially Rodrigo and Icaro were superb. The two of them spoke very good English. They gave precise recommendations and excellent suggestions. The restaurant with its fusion dishes is very unique and distinguishes themselves from all other restaurants in the area. The location is also absolutely fantastic, right in the middle of the historic centre.

The hotel is kept in the top condition and is extremely well organized. We chose it as a base to explore Bahia, and they were kind to let us keep the luggage for a few days. When we came back, our bags were waiting us in the room. The location in the most touristy part of Salvador, close to the main attractions, but on a quiet street. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I love it. Everything was beyond perfect, and it is like a sanctuary in an ideal location. The room: beautiful with lovely wooden floors, a very comfortable mattress with quality linens, a huge spa shower. My room had a terrace with a beautiful view. Blackout curtains. The hotel: boutique with nice decor. Small pool with ocean view offers a nice way to cool down and relax after hours in the heat. Restaurant: very good local food and they offer a huge delicious breakfast at any time you wish. Included with the room. I am not an early riser and usually cannot take advantage of complimentary breakfasts so that flexibility was unique and greatly appreciated. Staff: the staff is amazing. Everyone was extremely friendly, responsive and customer service oriented. Luis must have spent hours answering all my questions, and always with a smile. The doormen always made me feel like I was coming or leaving home. The owner greets you upon arrival, which is a lovely detail. Location: the hotel has a wonderful location on a pedestrian street in between the two principal squares of Pelhourinho. There is music right outside the door (but the rooms are quiet).

It was amazing! The only possible downside to the location is that you cannot take Uber to the hotel. You need to walk 2 blocks from a main square to reach the hotel, which may not be safe at night (I did not have a problem). You can take an authorized taxi but it is 4x the price of Uber or they also offer a car service.

This is a beautiful retreat of a hotel in the historic of Salvador. All staff were amazingly friendly, helpful, and on hand at all times. The rooms were very spacious, well equipped, and laid out with very high-quality furnishings and stunning views across Salvador Bay from some. The restaurant was excellent, good value, and highly recommended.

Exceptional and friendly service from start to finish. I couldn't have had a more welcoming welcome to a place I've never visited before. Right in the heart of all things carnival, music and food, I was blown away. Thanks to all the receptionists for being very professional, friendly and always so helpful. Will miss this place and I'll be recommending it to everybody.
