Needed to check in early and rang the day before to request, staff really helpful and advised no problem. On arrival, room was upgraded and checked in easily, really helpful reception staff. All staff in the hotel were exceptionally helpful and cheerful throughout. Had a great meal in the restaurant in the evening and lovely breakfast before checking out. When we couldn’t get TV to work because of lack of signal, a lady from reception came immediately with a fire stick so we had premium channels. When we requested some more milk, it was delivered to our room within minutes. Everything was done with a smile. The room was lovely but a bit tired looking could probably do with a bit of a refresh, however it was clean, had a large comfortable bed and good shower. Beautiful village location, shame we didn’t have more time to spend there.

Staff are lovely, breakfasts and restaurant very good. Location superb. Good value.

Reception kindly changed my room which was originally at the very end of the hall in the newer section. That room had a lovely, beautifullly renovated, large bathroom, but the bedroom itself was small, dark and looked a bit sad with no pictures under picture lights, a mirror just propped up against the door adjoining the next bedroom and metal desk with chair that requires cleaning/reupholstering. The new room (#6) was lovely but the downside was that I could hear everything in the next room - from the television to the person visiting the loo.

Breakfast was superb - Staff were fantasic - really helpful/nothing too much Lovely little village with as well as the hotel a really nice pub, Pizza resturant and Indian resturant - nice village gardens

Room maintenance - had a cracked tile (potentially sharp edge) in bathroom/toilet floor - cieling lamp fitting not properly located in ceiling (might drop down) - and most annoyingly the shower screen on bath woukd swing open when you stood under shower at end of bath.

We loved the bridge , our room number 1 was lovely , the only thing I couldn’t use was the bath , far too deep to get out , also the situation of the hotel on the main road was really busy and noisy , constant cars up and down while early hours . Both windows in the room were faulty , one had a broken pane of glass which was hanging out from the frame on lead , the other window was rotten and catch was broken so couldn’t open it , which made the room uncomfortable too warm . Apart from that the hotel , staff and food were exceptional.

Lovely little hotel in a charming village. The staff are wonderful, very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent and varied - breakfasts are particularly wide in choice.

My room this time wasn't so good. It faced the road but the curtains didn't close properly and as a woman travelling alone I felt vulnerable that I could be seen. I have stayed here several times and will return, I'll just mention this when I book

Gorgeous atmosphere, beautifully designed and put together, very cosy and inviting! Amazing food, The best creme brulee I've ever had! 😋 Staff were fab and the rooms were quiet other than the sounds of the river and the birds 💚Very sweet little village to wander through at night. Great location for driving to hiking areas! Would definitely visit again.

Unfortunately, I think it's slightly over priced (£160 1 night). This may be because we had to book a standard double room as we booked last minute and it's all that was available. The room was tiny! Quite claustrophobic, not much room with two of you, no room to move around. The en suite was also very small. We only stayed one night and spent most of the time out of the room so it wasn't too much of an issue. If we stayed again we would book a bigger room as some of them looked stunning! They also take genius discount which helps 😊

Easy check in. Person on desk even offered to help with our bags. Plenty of free parking. The room (room 11) was clean and comfortable, and we slept well. Evening drinks in a friendly environment down at the bar and in the beer garden. Breakfast was very good, great continental, and the cooked breakfast was also very good. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff, and we would definitely stay again.

Floor boards in our room were quite creaky, and the TV was small.

The property was absolutely stunning! Such a cosy and homely feel to it. We sat by the fireplace to warm up after a walk and loved it. The restaurant onsite was also amazing!

We stayed right in a room above the bar so we could hear some noise when we were going to bed. However, this would not stop us from staying again! If you have babies like we did or are light sleepers maybe just ask for a room not above the bar area!

Booked last minute, staff very helpful. I was shown to my room, (number 10) and I was not disappointed. Lovely to have a bath and a shower. The bed is super comfy.. Firm & soft pillows. Really clean and well presented. Highly recommended

Didn't pre book breakfast, & I thought £16.50 for Advocaedo on toast with bacon. & a pot of tea slightly expensive. But it did taste amazing

The location was convenient for the purpose of our visit to Prestbury. Sunday roast with friends in the evening was enjoyed. The bedroom (although not spacious) and bathroom were well equipped.

The shower dripped all the time. TV remote didn’t work. Both issues were mentioned to staff when we checked out and hopefully will be sorted out.
