The service was outstanding. When I ordered in room dining, the food was delivered very promptly- more promptly than any other hotel. The food was delicious. We ate with my family twice at the Rugby Grill and the food and service there was excellent as well. The room was spacious and nice. The mini bar was restocked fairly promptly. The bathroom and shower were also spacious.

The fitness center was old and outdated. The equipment is old and rusty which resulted in a minor injury to my finger.

The location was great for us. A daughter lives near by. Staff friendly. Rugby Grille bartenders were both great.

Housekeeping staff & supervisor need to be award there are people still in their room when they are cleaning. The constant slamming of 3 room doors was too much to take. Even after we asked them to try and close the doors not just let them slam they (including the supervisor) still did. Very disturbing, every minute slam. That lasted almost 45 minutes. :( Also, the Bell Captain didn't open the door for me twice and both times I had both hands full of things. :(

Breakfast was awesome and the experience was amazing

We were not able to regulate the room temperature. We called the front desk and they sent someone up right away to resolve the issue they came and managed the problem. The service man told us to call him if we had any additional problems. Also we were having issues with the lights when we turned them off or on it took several tries for them to come on or turn off.

The hotel is in a perfect location, walkable to everywhere we went. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was beautiful and very clean and comfortable.

Location was good for our visit. Room size and amenities. Restaurant was fine.

Thought the restaurant was pricy.

The hotel is amazing but the restaurant downstairs in the lobby gets full very fast from reservations outside. it's sad they don't give priority to hotel guests.

As I mentioned above the restaurant is not accepting hotel guests without reservations. Also, when I checked out the hotel staff went ahead and charge my card as I was planning to use a different card. they keep charging the card without notifying me.

Michael was the very best bar tender. Awesome.

Water temperature and water pressure are paramount. It was tepid water with a weak stream. The only thing that disappointed.

Great location. The bathroom was spacious and nice.

Noisy at night. The light control was very slow. The view from my room was a dumpster.

The hotel is excellent, and the location is the best in the City of Birmingham. Staff are very friendly. Valet parking works very well.

ordered room service and food was awesome. Most of the staff was friendly and welcoming, especially bellman, car service and the housekeeper!

The front desk was a little annoying. The three times I was there, I had to wait for the four employees standing there conversing to finish up their chat to help me. Then they asked, "can we help you?" as if I was just standing there for fun. Literally felt very ignored, I hate that. They totally saw me and just took their sweet time to address me. Not a good look.
