There is no other hotel I would stay in Bhaktapur. This was exceptional! I stayed four nights and everything was perfect. It was quiet (most Bhaktapur hotels are central and very noisy, I discovered), luxurious, great heat in winter, hot water, fridge, wonderful breakfast, tea in room, the kindest staff (great housecleaning and the young man at the front desk) and most beautiful grounds and restaurant, the bed was awesome, and it was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean; it was a vacation just to stay at this gorgeous hotel, nevermind that it's a ten minute walk to a city that is a living museum. I was alone and am female and recommend it to anyone. I stayed in room #201. Hotel Heritage is now one of my favorites in the world. I am a bit picky but they do everything right. Bhaktapur is well worth 3-4 days. There is so much to see! Don't just go to Durbar Square. I walked to Ganesh Temple on the hill, to every pokhari, to all squares many times (Dattatreya was my favorite), and I found walking the river bank interesting at dawn or dusk with the farmers out. People are nice there. Everything is wonderful.

It was a touch expensive. And they were doing construction next door, which is great because they are expanding, but I had jet lag and wanted to sleep in the day. But this is temporary. And I won't remember the cost in the future. Low season buffet wasn't always available but actually the Asian Set Breakfast was even better! Pooris with aloo, so extremely tasty. One tiny thing? Tiny! Frozen vegetable croquettes weren't tasty (everything else was absolutely delicious! Fresh pakoras though, pretty please?) I liked everything!

Staff is good , The property is perfect for relaxing. Have a decent Restaurant. Have good bar with nice brands of whiskey. I recommend this property for travelers who need peace of mind . They are very accommodative in early check in and late check out.

A bit over-priced in my opinion, but nevertheless worth if you are looking for something special to stay in Bhaktapur.
