This was our first experience ever staying in a gîte and we loved our 4 night visit. We stayed in a room with an attached bathroom that was spacious and well equipped. The room was very comfortable and the hosts hospitality was exceptional. Marie accommodated my vegetarian preferences with wonderful breakfasts (at a time of our choosing) consisting of many homemade goodies, Alsatian cheeses, traditional breads, honey from their bees and more. The home is beautifully landscaped and our room seemed to be quite newly renovated. Marie and her husband speak excellent English which made communication so easy for us. Leymen is a wonderful town with easy accessibility to a surprising number of restaurants on both the Swiss and French sides of the border. Leymen also has a Tram station that we took straight into Basel. The Alsace, and especially the Sungau (southern portion) is a singularly beautiful, historical and international (convergence of France, Switzerland and Germany) part of the world definitely worth visiting. We highly recommend this gîte!

We liked all aspects of our stay.

Clean room, very comfortable bed, huge bathroom with a bath. Extremely welcoming owner who tries to help with any request (where to go for groceries/to have a dinner/if anything is needed in the house). Beautiful garden in the back of the house where you can spend a quite afternoon. We stayed here during our road trip so if you also need a place to rest - that's the best option in the area!

The stay at Marie-France's lovely house was all-around perfect! Highly recommend - we will definitely return again.

We stayed unfortunately overnight only in this nice quiet place. Our room was very beautifully decorated, bathroom was amazing. Also a small fridge is available. Everything was perfectly clean. We could park our motorcycle right next to the house, the owners also offered us a garage. Breakfast was very good with delicious homemade bread, honey and marmalade and also local tasty cheeses. The hosts were very friendly. We would recommend this B&B to other travellers.
