Rangana and his wife are incredible hosts and we would 100% stay here again! We stayed for 3 weeks and we’re so happy we chose their home. It was very comfortable and clean, and we felt so cared for. Rangana was there to answer all of our questions, teach us about his culture, and always help us figure out where/what to do! The breakfasts were delicious and so different every day - his wife is an amazing cook. Rangana was so thoughtful and would repeat things that he knew we liked while also surprising us often with fun new things - teas, fruits, cakes, etc. The neighborhood is pretty quiet, but a short walk to the beach, many restaurants, coffee, stores, etc. There is also a mini mart just down the street that we stopped at daily. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Mirissa!

We stayed at Brave Resort for two days and had a wonderful experience. The resort is conveniently located just a 6-minute walk from Mirissa Beach and about 11 minutes from Secret Beach. However, we do not recommend Secret Beach, as it is very rocky with strong waves. Many visitors, including us, ended up with scratches on our legs and backs—it’s quite dangerous for swimming. The owner of the resort was incredibly kind and lives on-site with his family. His wife prepared a delicious breakfast for us every morning, which we really enjoyed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, making our stay very pleasant. One of the great advantages is that the owner also has a tuk-tuk and can take you wherever you need to go. He was always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying in a smaller resort like this rather than a big hotel. It gives you a more authentic Sri Lankan experience, allowing you to try homemade local cuisine and connect with the people, their culture, and their way of life. If you're looking for a cozy and welcoming place in Mirissa, Brave Resort is a great choice.

The location of the accommodation is close to the beach, the room was very spacious. The owner Rangada is a very lovely person and even upgraded our booked room from double to deluxe free of charge. He even owns a tuk tuk and took as at a very reasonable price to Handunugoda tea estate, where he waited for us and after that recommended us to visit the Sea turtle hatchery that we did not know about. By the way, the visit was worth it. In the morning we were served delicious breakfast and even we could leave our luggage at the accommodation until our departure to the airport.

We booked it last minute and reached the property within 10 minutes. Host did his best to make the arrangements for us. The room was clean and en-suite bathroom was nice. The host was very kind and polite. He gave us a very good breakfast in packaging early morning to eat during the whale watching. Due to the seasickness we couldn’t eat it fully but the breakfast looked delicious. Thank you for this gesture. The apartment is located at 5 minutes walk from the point where whale watching begins so it was very good for us to walk early in the morning.

Water bottle wasn’t provided in the room. We asked for the water bottles and the host went to the market and bought it for us within few minutes.

We really enjoyed our stay with this lovely family. We felt very welcome and they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The room was clean, comfortable and good value. The bathroom was also very clean. The breakfast was varied, generous and delicious! We felt really safe and well looked after here and would recommend friends or family to stay too. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The location is perfect. Far enough from the city centre of Mirissa to not be bothered by loud music, but close enough to walk to the centre or the two beaches (Mirissa beach and Secret beach). There is a different entrance for the guests so you don’t have to walk through the lovely family’s home which provides you with some privacy. The host is very welcoming and will help you with all your questions. Breakfast was always served in time and was different every day. The room has airconditioning which you really need as it can be hot in Mirissa.

We stayed one night at the place. We arrived very late at night from the airport and Randana was waiting for us outside the place. The room is clean and in an excellent location. The best thing is Randana's excellent hospitality. He drove us for two days to interesting places and recommended a lot to us. Randana speaks good English. Highly recommended.

The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable . We did have to ask for drinking glasses for the rooms as these were not provided initially. The host was very helpful. Would recommend staying here. Located on Harbour Road, so quieter end which suited us well as stayed over new year. Felt very safe here.

Drinks facilities in rooms would be a great addition.

The host was amazing. Being in low period, we were only ones staying at Brave Resort, so got to pick our room for same price as the room we booked. Breakfast was very delicious, traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. Location was good, in quiet part, however a 5-10 minute walk into Main Street and to beach.

Nothing, we loved it

Loved our stay here - lovely room with the arched balcony. Very clean and everything worked as expected. Lovely large bed and a great retreat off the main area to unwind. Only a 5-10 min walk to the beach and all the restaurants. Very safe and secure and also safe to walk. Definitely recommend. Host was lovely and accommodating- they live on the ground floor and were always available if needed.

Breakfast varied each day but they were happy to welcome suggestions and requests.
