I had the apartment at the top of the hotel. Plenty of space. The price I paid for 3 nights was very reasonable. The bed was comfortable. I had everything I needed. I only used the kettle in kitchen so I don't know about the provided stove and microwave. I didn't use the second bedroom but it looked fine. Both bedrooms had a tv. The shower was functional. There was no noise. Parking was street parking but there were always free parking spaces available.

I am not physically fit and agile so I found the stairs fairly taxing. Younger people may not consider it any problem.

Hosts were perfect despite no face to face contact, nothing was too much trouble. They sent a fan up to our room on request as it was in the middle of the recent heatwave. Check in was so quick and easy, a quick phone call to the host who then sent a text message to my phone with the door codes needed to access the property. The location of the hotel is perfect for the beach, arcades and is a walkable distance to the shopping area. The bathroom was small but adequate, the room was compact but it had everything required. The fridge in the room was a welcome addition for keeping food and drinks cold. The room was clean and tidy, the mattress wasn't the most comfortable but it was ok for one night. We didn't experience any loud noises or disruption at all. This hotel was good value for money and we would not hesitate to stay there again. The free parking outside the hotel was great. Thank you so much Wendy, it was a pleasure to stay with you.

The mattress could be better but it's not the worst one I've seen by far. I wasn't keen on not being able to put toilet paper down the toilet, it has to be put in the bathroom bin due to the Victorian plumbing. It just doesn't seem hygienic to me, especially in the hot weather but I guess it saves a lot of problems arising from a blocked plumbing system. Everything else was absolutely fine.

For a budget room for the price of £50 you can’t really complain! The room was lovely and spacious, and also dog friendly which is added bonus points! I honestly don’t understand the bad reviews - you get what you pay for and this exceeded that. If you want something fancy - you have to pay more. No bed bugs in our room it was lovely. Bed was uncomfortable ur that’s the only complaint. Shared toilet with the budget room but that is advertised. I was concerned after reading bad reviews but was pleasantly surprised - will stay again if ever needed 1 night stay.

The bed - but again, get what you pay for with a budget room.

It is a clean hotel, quiet, safe, with friendly staff, central to the city and across the road from the beach and all the amenities. We rented two rooms. The beds were comfy, many pillows and perfectly folded white towels available. There was a wardrobe, a TV, a kettle, a toaster, mugs, plates, cutlery in every room. There is free wi-fi. One of the rooms had a bit small window opening (the rest of it, two panels, is blocked) and it was warm at night (maybe a small fan would generally do for most people), but the other one was great, with a large open window, airy and light, with a big TV set. Other than that, everything was very good. Parking is free on the streets surrounding the hotel. We also spent days in nearby Hemsby, Lowestoft and Winterton that are on either side of Great Yarmouth as those beaches are sandy and Hemsby has a lot for families in a small spot and the hotel was a perfect location for going places like that. Norwich is also not that far. We would stay at the hotel again with no hesitation.

apart from a small window opening in warm weather in one room, everything was great.

I've stayed in this hotel quite a few times and I always have a relaxing time the rooms are always fully equipped with coffee fridge kettle toaster TV fresh clean bedding and toiletrees tells and a peaceful area to get your head down for the night the Wi-Fi is always super super fast and I would always recommend and go back there myself I always like to find something to give some constructive criticism too and this will be no different so if there's one thing I would change and it's very very hard to find something to change I would upgrade all your TVs to Smart TVs if your internet is so fast it would handle them and it would just be a little perk

nothing I disliked

Great location really close to the sea-front. Free parking opposite the hotel. Nicely decorated. Good shower in the bedroom. Great TV in lounge area. Tea and coffee supplied. Nice bed linen and clean towels provided. Clean oven and microwave Full sized fridge and freezer perfect for a longer stay. Huge lounge area, really comfy sofa with plenty of room for more than 2 people to sit and watch TV. Great value for money. Dog friendly. I left some personal belongings when I left and they very kindly posted them to me, for which I was very grateful. I would book this again for a short break.

TV remote didn't work for bedroom TV. Broken bedroom door handle, so we just didn't close the door fully. Wet floor in the kitchen galley it seemed to come through a hole in the laminate floor we wore slippers so we didn't get wet socks. It was quite noisy in the mornings around 6am, from movement in rooms above the bedroom, but this is a basement apartment so we took that into consideration

The lady who checked us in via telephone was very polite and direct with clear instructions on entering the hotel. The room was tidy and comfortable with all amenities for the kitchen you could need, also a TV & hairdryer. The shared toilets and showers were clean. Great price for what you get and only a 2 minute walk from the beach, peer and so many attractions. Also fantastic that they allow for dogs, we all had a wonderful night.

The parking was awful but thats to be expected in such an area. The stairs get fairly steep towards the top of the building and the door at the very top of the stairs opens out onto the stairs which was very awkward, we also needed to put a wedge in the window to keep it open.

Very good locations, only maybe a 10 minute walk from the sea front! On a nice quite street though so there wasn't too much noise or anything! The property was clean and sorted, with towels, bedding ect. Perfect for a nights stay over! Pet friendly as well but didn't smell like animals!

There was issues with cracks and such in the property, needs a bit of mantanance. One of the staff members that we spoke to was rather blunt and not particularly accommodating, nor did she try to be either, however there were no big issues at all.

The hotel was very good value for money, our apartments were very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Rooms were very well presented Housekeeping was exceptional, clean bedding and towels everyday if required. Booking in was very simple, access codes given immediately on arrival. We loved that we could come.and go as we pleased as no curfew time at night. Thank you for making our stay a very pleasant one, my children and I had a great holiday. Will definitely book the Mayfair Hotel again.
