The breakfast was superb, cooked fresh to order. Food was local sourced, cooked to perfection and served piping hot. Great choices for evening meal, equally well cooked to order. Had it been summertime we would have sat outside in the pretty garden, and we loved the surprise of a large white Owl flitting across the garden later in the evening. The pub was dressed as a genuine country pub ought to be - with a local musician playing in the bar when we arrived.

If you plan a late arrival be aware food isn't served Sunday evenings, but there are takeaway options in the area.

Easy to find - a great location in the countryside. A lovely traditional country public house|gastro pub - clean & warm. No television or slot machines in the bar. The reception received was very welcoming and the staff were all extremely helpful. Nice quiet room with comfortable bed and a good television. Nice teas and posh coffee. Bathroom very good. I ate in the restaurant - very nice service and the food was excellent. I left before breakfast. Excellent secure parking.

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. Rooms were all very clean and tidy. Staff were polite and really friendly. Beds were extremely comfortable. Good value for money.

Stayed on the warmest night of the year and only one room had a fan. Would have been nice to have a fan in each room. Apart from that there is nothing to complain about.

Fantastic and accommodating staff, you really felt that they wanted you to have the best stay you could. Lovely homely feel to the whole experience, the rooms and the bar/restaurant. Superb breakfast and evening meal.

Menu limited for vegetarians. Room could have been cleaner.

The breakfast was superb The quiet country location meant an great nights sleep in a comfy bed. A clean, hot shower was welcome. The added bonus of live music the night we arrived was a great surprise. Lovely setting, within reach of the beautiful Broads.

The location is amazing - close to main routes but in a quiet and peaceful location. The staff are fantastic, as is the food. Breakfast was great even for vegetarians like us, and the meals in the restaurant are the best I've had in any hotel I've stayed in and we stay in many.

Breakfast was excellent, generous helpings and served quickly with a smile. Dinner was also high quality and service was exceptional. One member even offered us a ride when taxis were not available.

Our room was located above the bar area. There was very loud live music which played long after its time and could be heard and felt till midnight.

I could have quite happily stayed for longer at the White Lion. We had a large room with a comfortable bed, tastefully decorated and furnished. Plenty of storage for a longer stay. Nice quality shower products and top quality tea/coffee was a bonus. We ate in the restaurant which was excellent. Friendly helpful attentive staff looked after us well. Good selection of beer, most important if you are real ale fans. The breakfast was excellent also. Gardens are well maintained and pleasant, with a large classic marquee.

It is a very cozy hotel with very friendly staff, the bed was very comfortable, not too modern but everything was clean. food in the restaurant was excellent and well presented.

A little noisey, you could hear other people in thier rooms and doors opening and closing but it was a pub/hotel so you have to accept this sometimes.
