The swan motel comes highly recommended, the staff are so friendly, happy in their work, always willing to help. Room was amazing, we apparently had the honeymoon suite, it was very nice, large bathroom, large comfortable bed, tastefully decorated and had a small lounge area. We also had another room for a family friend, which was equally nice, he had a lovely room tastefully decorated with on suite. We took our dog, they accommodated her very well and welcomed her in the bar area when we ate. Plenty of places to eat, garden dining if you want too. The food was well presented and tasty, the portions are huge, and lots to choose from. Value for money. Large car park.

To be honest. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

The room and adjoining bathroom were very well designed and arranged and immaculately clean, and mine host is much to be complimented on the attitude of his staff and his personal input into what deserves to continue a thriving business catering for the local as well as the tourist community

My only sadness was that, having arrived at 2pm as arranged, I did not immediately order lunch. Though theoretically it was served until 2.30, on a hot afternoon when there was likely to be little more demand the team had understandably - but disappointingly for me - turned off their fryer by 2.20pm.

Welcoming venue in semi-rural location. Nice relaxed atmosphere enhanced by friendly staff, a range of food and refreshment options at reasonable prices. Super breakfast service managed by dedicated staff member rounded off a comfortable short stay.

Although very clean and tidy with ample tea & coffee making facilities and a mini fridge, guest accommodation unfortunately included a poorly sprung mattress and a shower that struggled to reach optimum temperature for those liking it hot! Didn’t spoil our 1 night stay but may be an issue for others who can be particular about such things. I’m sure management will be quick to address these minor concerns.

Loved the little chalets, particularly liked being at the end in room no.1, if I go again I would make this a request. Nice and quiet with no-one passing by. Unfortunately we were late risers and not able to go for breakfast, maybe next time. So happy with our stay that I have recommended you to a friend who is looking for accommodation to stay next year, whilst attending a wedding.

I was quite happy with everything. As a cleaner myself that is something I notice but it was very clean. The only area I would keep an eye on is in the shower a few mould stains appearing. It happens, that's life. 🙂

Meal good. Breakfast excellent Room large with very comfortable large bed. Very clean. Plenty of parking. Good WiFi. Easy access to room - ground floor. Pleasant atmosphere in bar . Staff very helpful and pleasant ( even though very busy on Mother's Day.

The shower was a little small. It would have been good to have had a venetian blind of net curtain in the window of the room. People on tables outside could see into the room - there were curtains and a fold-down blind, which did not let light in. This is a minor observation and would not stop my wife and I staying again in this venue.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and kind. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean with a good shower. Lovely dining and garden area. The bar had a pool table too. The breakfast was incredible!

The room was rather hot in the night. To be expected in summer, but with no fan or air con it was hard to cool the room down at night even with windows open. The walls seemed rather thin in the bedroom. We could hear the neighbours talking from their room, their tv, shower/toilet/water pipes. Might not be the case for all rooms, however!

This is a fantastic place to stay. We had 2 rooms. Went in first impressed by decor & cleanliness but second room was on a completely different level! Very large with a great jungle decor. This room had the lot. Extensive tea & coffee bits, sofa to relax on and a super bathroom with bath and shower. All super clean. King size bed with lovely high quality linen. Slept really well due to its comfort. Staff in main bar/reception were friendly and helpful. We had a great lunch with very generous portions. When we returned in the evening the place was buzzing and we were worried we wouldn’t be able to eat. But again the staff were fabulous and reassured us that as guests we took priority. Another great pub meal - well cooked and enormous portions. No room for pudding 😂 Thank you to the staff. We will certainly be returning!

Nothing! One of the best rooms we have stayed in and lovely staff. Maybe some new pictures on their website showing how good it really is.

I would describe the evening meals we had there as standard pub food. The portions were large and were good value for money. We did not have breakfast. The room met all our needs. It was clean and comfortable There were toiletries (including proper soap) in the bathroom and tea, coffee and water available in the room. There was plenty of parking.

There was nothing we disliked. Given the cost of the room, food and drinks we thought it was good value for money when comparing it with other properties of a similar price.

This was our second stay. The property is in a quiet location with a large car park. The staff were friendly and helpful. Check in was simple and quick. The room was spotlessly clean with tasteful decor (room 7, which has been recently decorated). It is really good value for money with complimentary bottled water, toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Decent shower. Wi-fi okay. Breakfast was available in the main building / restaurant for £10. We'll be back.

There wasn't anything we didn't like

Little touches like proper feather pillows, tea and coffee facilities, bottles of water in the room and toiletries in the bathroom. It was also clean and well presented. My husband and I were there with our 2 young children and unusually, we actually had a family room with proper single beds for the children that still had room to move around!

We couldn't find the TV remote - but as we arrived late and were only staying one night, I didn't go to reception - I am sure they would have provided one.
