The food here was excellent - compliments to the chef. Possibly the best fish curry I've ever had. Breakfast nice too - but see further comments. Room very spacious & comfortable and I liked the fact there was real coffee.

The only issue was confusion about breakfast. I had booked a B&B rate and was told that I could choose breakfast items up to a certain value that were included in the price, and I would have to pay extra if I exceeded that. I have no issue with that, as everything was menu-based and freshly cooked. At breakfast I ordered 2 items (a granola starter and mushrooms on toast) but was told instead that I could only order 1 item, not two! No granola for me! All very odd, and not very hospitable.

We had an amazing weekend at Fritton Lake. Instructions from the venue before arrival were detailed, so we easily found the place. Room was clean, nice, warm, with a very comfortable bed. Facilities are excellent - swimming pool (though not very warm during cold months, but absolutely comfortable for active swimming), tennis courts, floating sauna with a panoramic view of the lake, walking paths around the lake, garden and fireplaces with real fire to relax in the evening.

We had to wait for the breakfast to be cooked for 45 mins, but food was good.

Staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. Our room was large, clean, comfortable and well serviced. On-site facilities were great - wish we had had more time to enjoy them. Breakfasts were also very good. Our weekend break was greatly enhanced by fabulous weather 😎.

A few marks on bedroom carpet needed some attention. Ideally we would have preferred if the room had had a super king sized bed and a shower as well as the lovely bath, rather than just the shower attachment.

Stunning property and very beautiful surroundings and facilities for adults and children alike. Very good quality tasty menu and rooms decorated classic yet stylishly.

Our room was tired in areas, such as curtain poles and missing a light bulb in the bathroo which I did mention to the staff. These things don’t take much time to fix and are noticeable when staying in the room. However didn’t affect our feelings for the room which were very positive.

The photos do not Fritton Lake justice. The facilities are excellent- pool, tennis, lake activities, sauna etc. it kept myself and a teenager happily busy. The lake was like those you see in American films. The clubhouse itself is well decorated and has a great relaxed feel to it. It was fully booked whilst we were there but never felt like it- very relaxed and did not feel busy.

The room was a tad small- but bathroom large. The food at the restaurant was ok but not amazing-which I would expect given the rest of the place.

It is very difficult to fault our stay. The staff went above and beyond, from those working in the restaurant, in the on-site shop to the kids club and the tennis coaches. The menu was broad and the food outstanding. The lake area itself is peaceful and beautiful and there are endless options in terms of outdoor sports and countryside walks. Will definitely visit again.

Top location and facilities. We booked for tow nights as we needed some time to relax and Fritton Lake didn't disappoint at all. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The facilities are brilliant and activities to choose from. The restaurant menu was delightful. My husband is vegan and the chef was very accommodating to him.

The property is located in a lovely location. The amenities are great with lots to do from swimming, playing ball games or walking. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and it was lovely. We would definitely return for a longer trip.

The room and hallways could benefit from being renovated just to freshen things up.

Absolutely beautiful location. Old country house, in woodland and meadows, warm outside pool, delicious food, comfortable beds, friendly staff, who could ask for more

I was very stunning and in an Idyllic location. There’s was soo much to so such as swim in the lake or pool. Paddle board or relax in the sauna. And the staff were lovely and attentive. I would really like to go back to The clubhouse.
