The staff were very friendly, especially the manager who went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Laundry service and bike rental provided for a reasonable price. This was our second time staying and really enjoyed our stay. The location is on the quieter side of the island. Pool is a nice size for swimming with lots of sunbeds around and two pergolas for relaxing. I would def recommend bringing ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as these units are tent style accommodation so you can hear your neighbours, not a problem, but just something to consider.

It's a lovely property with spacious rooms and a good pool & closest beach is only a 5-min walk but what really stood out was the warmth of the staff at reception - she was so kind and affectionate! And very helpful with calling a horse cart, boat bookings etc. Thank you!

This is not a critique of the property as such, more of an FYI for other travellers. It's a bit far from the main stretch closer to the harbour so if you intend to keep going to the restaurants and pubs there, it helps if you rent a cycle/ e-bike. It's too long to walk to the harbour side. (there are restaurants within walking distance as well)

From the moment you walk into the Gili Tenda you are truly looked after. The team are nothing short of fantastic and right from the off they made sure to cater for anything I might want or need. The place is tucked away in the centre of the island (nearer the west coast then east) but handily they offer a bicycle hire service, which did come in very handy. Also as I was staying 14 days they did me a nice little deal on that as well. There wasn’t much on the food menu per se, but it was plenty enough to vary up and I had lunch there most days. The prices I found to not just be reasonable but in some cases they were cheaper than buying from the local shop! But its the team that truly make the place, all of whom work incredibly hard to keep the place running smoothly. It was noticable they all performed multiple roles, working the bar, cooking the food and cleaning the rooms. Over the two weeks I think the same team was present on every single day. That would explain why it was sometimes difficult to get hold of them when you were at the bar as they simply couldn’t hear the bell! It was a tad more expensive than other spots on the island, but still amazingly affordable. If I ever come back to Gili T, I will be coming here again, without a shadow of a doubt.

These are purely minor grumbles, but as mentioned staff could be hard to get hold of as they were performing multiple functions. The rooms are indeed like luxury glamping tents, which means you can hear EVERYTHING around the place from animals to….ahem other guests. Ear plugs highly recommended. Also as mentioned the resort lies off the beaten track which is dimly lit. Deffo recommend if you have a little torch bring it as it’s very useful!!

While we understand the charm of keeping things rustic and natural, we believe the overall atmosphere of Gili could benefit from more investment in lighting and better organization. Nonetheless, we highly recommend this place!

We loved our stay here. It was very different to other accommodation on our trip. Your own private outdoor bathroom was a unique experience! The woman at reception was so helpful. She organised our trips and made sure we had everything we needed. Very comfortable stay. It rained alot when we were there so can't comment too much on the pool area. It was all very clean and well maintained.

It was a good bit away from the main bar and restaurant area but we rented the bikes and it took 10/15 minutes to cycle back at night. There are bars close by but not as lively. Paths or lack of got very muddy after the rain. No fault of the owners but it is off the main track a bit.

The staff were so lovely! Nothing was a problem and Sukma and team are so efficient. No bell on bike no worries sorted, breaks on bike started to go, no worries fixed! Breakfast was yummy. (It’s not included) location was good. Just know it’s off the path on a mud track to get there. We didn’t realise this until arrival but all good.

Pool was lovely, could be cleaned a bit more as was feeling a bit slimey but it was so beautiful especially at night. Not fault of staff or accommodation but quite a few flys around as near cow farm. Maybe more fly traps could placed around but again it didn’t affect our stay. We would return :))

Perfectly located near the beach ( 10 min max) on the part of the island where you can see the sunset. Amazing stuff. The beautiful floral and palms arround the pool makes you feel like you are in a movie. The shower is somehow outside and you can see the sky while you take a shower and it s so nice.

The noise from the Aircon (the part that is outside) . Because the room is in a tent there is no walls and you can hear the noise from the aircon from you and your neighbors rooms.It is a permanent sound because due to the heat everybody will keep them On. I dont know if it s something that property can do but is good to know for everyone that want to stay there.

Perfect place to relax with awesome staff. I had such a good time, they made us feel like at home. Especially thanks to Sukma, who was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean and well-equipped. The swimming pool is really nice and open until 10 PM! The breakfast is really tasty, I recommend especially the club sandwich. The restaurant at the pool servers the dishes alla carte through the day, I tried it once and it was delicious. Once the staff picked fresh coconuts straight from the tree and let us try it! You can rent a bike with a good price, which is 50 000 / per day. You can also book activities such as snorkelling through the hotel. The location is really good, close to the beach. If you like yoga, I recommend classes at “Sunset Yoga Beach GT” - 5 minutes ride from the hotel. To sum up, my time at Gili Trawangan was perfect - wish I could stay longer.

Everything was perfect

Quiet and peaceful place. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, with a private covered terrace with seating and sofa - a lovely place to relax. The accommodation is in the style of an African safari tent, comfortable beds, bathroom and toilet is located outside, a pleasant experience. Breakfasts were plentiful and tasty, good menu choices. There is a nice, large and clean swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers. Bicycle hire can be used. A few minutes bike ride to the centre to the marina. The staff are very friendly, helpful. I definitely recommend it!

Our stay at this amazing hotel on Gili Island was absolutely fantastic! Our villa was spotlessly clean, and the outdoor shower and toilet added a special Bali-style charm to the experience. The property is beautifully kept, peaceful, and set away from the noise, giving it a true jungle retreat vibe. The staff were incredibly professional and helpful, and having a bike rental on-site made exploring the island easy and fun. The restaurant and bar at the resort served delicious food and drinks. The location is perfect—right near the sunset point and close to Turtle Point, with breathtaking views in the evening and plenty of great dining options nearby. Gili Island itself is magical, with bicycles, electric scooters, and horse-drawn carts adding to the unique atmosphere. Highly recommend this place for an unforgettable stay!
