Very clean and tidy unit and great size! We had two bedrooms, two single beds in one room, a queen bed in the other and two more single beds in the lounge. It accommodated all of us really well with one single bed to spare. Air conditioning was really good and cooled the place down. Large TV screen that allowed us to use our Netflix login over the free wifi to watch shows. Large bathroom with spa bath and shower overhead. Highly rate the free cookies and drink sachets in the room. Best motel cookies I've ever had, and the lovely staff replenished the supply the next day. Quiet place and on the main road into Gisborne town which only takes a couple minutes.

Only thing was the room was next to the laundry room so my sister who was sleeping in the Queen room could hear the washing machine early in the morning. The rest of us couldn't. Minor thing.

Allocated car spaces, were not right in front of our room, when unpacking we were right in view of the next room's front door, as I was sober driver for the night, I did feel sorry for the whanau next door when I got in very late being noisy outside their room. The room had a distinctive smell on first arrival, but it disappeared throughout the night

The beds were very comfortable The shower pressure is really good The sky channels were a definite bonus 2 water bottles in the fridge were such a nice touch Air con was lovely. Blankets nice and soft Decent sized milk

The Wifi kept dropping out Be good if there was a information folder about the room like how to use the spa..the spa switch was really hard to find. Found it the next day but didn't have time to use it as a spa so just had a bath.

I booked and rung 2 minutes later to confirm the booking, the person was very helpful and confirmed it and told me the key would be I'm the table and door unlocked because of our check in time. The room was beautiful!! It was very clean and the bathroom was huge. The best shower I've used before, the beds were also very comfortable.

We were in room 6 a corner unit. We unpacked and went to the supermarket, when we got back theree was a 4WD and large van parked either side and my SUV couldn't fit so I had to knock on the neighbours door to move his van, if the vehicles were smaller it wouldn't have mattered. Not a biggy but didn't like knocking on a strangers door at 10pm

Property was easy to find, check in process was super easy and quick. The room we booked was exactly as promoted in pics shared and met our needs ie; size, privacy, comfort. Although located on the main road, room was amazingly sound proof. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Would have been helpful to have info on recommendations for best food places to go to as well as extra toilet paper rolls due to the size of the room booked and the number of guests. Other than that everything was great!

The motel exceeded our expectations as a group of five. The place was clean, tidy and well stocked. The two bedrooms we stayed in had two well sized TVs with SKY, a spa bath and a kitchen to cook. The hosts are also very accommodating and friendly about late checkins given that you call them beforehand. Overall, our group enjoyed the stay here and were shocked at its affordability.

Good service delivery by Alfresco they rearranged my stay at short notice. In addition they supported with a USB and WIFI access. Polite and supportive. I liked the outdoor space - green area with a pergola. Laundry area also available - so overall good value in clean surroundings.

There was no area that I did not like therefore - not applicable to my experience.

I appreciated the upgrade from studio to a one bedroom unit. I also appreciated the detail - tissues; paper towel, hooks in the bathroom, blackout curtains, my room was quiet. Good lighting, a light above the bed; great shower!

The curtains in the living area needed attention - not good curtain track ...

The owners are absolutely accomodating and helped me. I changed my check in date so many times and they were only but happy to qork with me at anytime and I changed it so many times. I also had to extend my stay and it was no problem for them. The cleaners are efficient and you would never know that they are cleaning.

Its a little bit to far from towns and shops

Customer service delivered by all staff we encountered was exceptional. We especially loved the welcoming, caring and friendly manner that Sarah (housekeeping) greeted us with. She made us feel comforted at a particularly stressful time as our whānau deal with being displaced from our kainga due to cyclone Gabrielle. I made this booking due to work combined it as a break for my daughter & moko without knowing that emergency housing has been provided here for other displaced whānau. What a lovely caring peaceful place to seek refuge. Wish we could have had our whānau here. The free laundry is outstanding and was very much appreciated. The spare carpark was great too. I booked an extra night for my daughter to stay after I left - thank you for making it possible for her to stay in the same unit. Our stay at Alfresco lifted our spirits at a fragile time.
