I very rarely review places but felt I had to with this place. One of the best places I have ever stayed. Great private bungalows with incredible views. The staff were so friendly and helpful with anything you need. Breakfast was incredible, says continental breakfast so was expecting just some pastries and meats but this even had pancakes and you could get cooked eggs and bacon to order along with fresh cut meats. Comfy sunbeds where there was always room. Will definitely be coming back

Can't really fault it. However what i will say It is quite hilly so if you struggle to walk i would not suggest it however they do have golf cars to get you around if you need it. While you can walk to town in about 30 minutes it is very hilly so walking in is fine but walking back is hard. I would suggest renting a car and driving into town and there isa big parking in the centre you can pay to park. Taxis are quite expensive too about 20 euros each way to town.

This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. The view is incredible. The property is unreal. Highly, highly recommend - the photos don’t do it justice. Loved the villa style room and balcony overlooking the beautiful ocean, loved the breakfast (the amazing Matteo, Illaria and the whole team looked after us everyday and were so friendly), the sun lounger areas were stunning and comfortable, the sand beach felt totally private - such amazing ocean swimming in a clear, gorgeous ocean, dinner was fantastic in the restaurant, the whole team were fantastic. A great winery and pizzeria close by. Walkable to Cefalù town but much a much nicer and quieter place to stay.

It was all perfect

We had a brilliant time at Calanica. The resort is located in the most beautiful hillside location with great access to a small private beach and spectacular views over the coastline with a stunning sunset. The bungalows have everything you need and are kept spotlessly clean by the brilliant staff. The breakfast was fantastic, we enjoyed a plentiful and wide range of foods both sweet and savoury, slightly changing daily allowing us to try different Sicilian foods. The drinks were great, as was our pizza we enjoyed by the beach, which were all so easy to order from the beachfront. From the hotel, it’s about a half hour walk into Cefalù town down the hill via a lovely seafront path, so not too far but allows you some separation from the busier areas of town. This is a gem of a resort and I recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break in paradise. The hotel complex is located in a naturally magnificent place on a mountain slope. Our family was really lucky to stay in bungalows with a wonderful sea view. From the moment you arrive the staff will do everything to make you want to come back here as soon as possible. The hotel offers a rich breakfast selection on the terrace of the restaurant with an amazing view, where all the staff are very caring and cheerful (Matteo, who served us, was the "icing on the cake":)). The hotel is a bit far from the center of Cefalu, but since we had a car, we got there in a few minutes. If we had had more time, we would have happily walked. Unfortunately, this time we only stayed for one night, but fortunately we still had some time to enjoy also the hotel's sun terrace and swim in both the sea and the saltwater pool.

Staff was Top Shelf so polite/multi lingual/friendly/fast service, Easy walk from our bungalow, variety was wonderful, Quality was also Top Shelf/best I've had in Italy or Sicily, We liked sitting on the patio the best cool sea breeze & wonderful view and sounds.

The smokers ashtray was upwind of the patio. I understand they need to smoke but I shouldn't have to smell or breath it. A Hot Tub area would really put Calanica or the top. Show hot water ran out fast, we managed by waiting about ten minutes.

The view from our room was incredible, the staff were wonderful and always helpful. The food quality at the restaurant was excellent and had a number of great options within walking distance too. The beach was perfect and had some great spots for snorkeling, kayaking and rock jumping. The pool was always sparsely populated as most were at the beach, so the kids were able to play in a giant pool mostly to themselves. A shout out to Nino at the restaurant and Elisa at the beach who made us very welcome.

The only negative was the steepness of the climb to get up to reception or to the pool. It's probably a good thing to burn off all the extra food we were eating, but I can imagine if you're not very mobile this would be a challenge. It also allows all the bungalows to have fantastic views as they each have their own cliff side spot.

We liked it from check-in to checkout. A wonderful experience with an excellent team. The check-in was an amazing experience, we really liked the Italian welcoming. All the bungalows facing the sea make your stay as being in front of artwork everyday. The secluded beach with the bar, diversity of the breakfast buffet. We had the chance to dinner at the restaurant and it was good. Recommended

The wifi is already large but was not good enough in our bungalow.

The resort was gorgeous. It is cliff side and the views are amazing. The little bungalows that you can stay in are very private and cosy. The staff was lovely and even though we were the only Americans there, most of the staff spoke english with us. It seemed like the staff also spoke french as there were a lot french guests. Everyone seemed to be friends at the resort, it seems like they have a lot of return guests. The sunsets were gorgeous. Definitely get to dinner early so you can enjoy the sunset while you eat.

There are a lot of stairs. Be prepared to go up and down stairs to get to everything. They do have golf carts to take people around too but they can't get to everything. The main town area is farther away than we realized, you will want to take a taxi or drive and park at a lot. It was too hot to try to walk 45 minutes or more into town.

We arrived late at night not knowing what to expect but we we woke up and saw our view...unbelievable! We wandered down for breakfast and were greeted by their amazing staff. We could not believe our good fortune at stumbling on to this magical place. The rooms were SO well designed, the views were out of this world, the staff (especially Matteo...(the Johnny Depp of Sicily)and the whole resort were designed for providing their customers with the very BEST experience. Book it!! You will not regret it!!

What a gem. We very much enjoyed the cute bungalow with an amazing view. We relaxed at the lounge area listening to the waves breaking at the rocks, how perfectly zen. Enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant and very impressed with the service all together. They just opened for the season but all was in order right away. A bit of a hike but if you are up for it, use the pathway directly to Cefalu, a good 20 minute walk (one way).
