The team of young staff are very friendly and helpful. When we need hot water, they went to the kitchen to get it for us even though it was closed and when we wanted a taxi to the train station due to our luggage, they told us that no taxi driver will take us as it is too near and the General Manager himself took us in his own car as he was going out at that time. That to us is really going that extra mile.

The bathroom could be better as it is a bath tub and without a rubber mat so getting in and out after a shower is not so easy and can be dangerous as it is slippery. Would be better if it is just a shower. I was informed that the hotel will be closed for renovation and I hope that this area will be fixed.

Central

The free car park was actually full on arrival. We've stayed 3 previous times but it's getting busier. Also having brought 2 small well behaved dogs as we had requested a pet friendly hotel there is nothing to say there is a supplement to pay. It should be in the fee quoted and paid in full before we arrived as email said includes charges and taxes and they always add it on.

The parking was small but private. We enjoyed the walk in the small streets of the old town. Lot's of restaurants in the neighborhood. We slept very well and the breakfast buffet was fantastisch. Very good start of the next journey ;-)

We didn't stay in the main building but in another house around the corner thus the car was not close by the room.

Comfortable beds, attractive rooms, walking distance to the centre of Beaune all contributed to a lovely stop over.

The single beds in the family room weren't big enough for my teenage son (170cm tall ) as they were up on a mezzanine under a sloping ceiling. Looked very cute, but wasn't very practical.

Staff made sure we had an accessible room on same floor as parking entrance. Easy access to room. Plenty of space in room and bathroom quite large. Everything good. Good aircon. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Hotel is an easy walk to town centre and lots of fun to explore old streets. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Nice atmosphere in town. Made a good overnight stop.

First view of hotel is a bit heart-sinking. Not good kerb appeal but this belies a nice hotel.

The rooms were lovely, we had a joining room with the kids, both rooms had its own bath or shower room. The lovely court yard and the character of the hotel was really charming

There’s nothing we didn’t like but we would have liked coffee and tea making facilities in the room and there was no mini bar as stated just wine glasses.

The Hotel de la Paix is a charming, small hotel in an attractive district around a public square. It is a convenient walk from the railway station, and also within easy walking distance of the city centre.

We arrived very late. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. The room had a very comfortable bed. Excellent for tall people like us. The bathroom had a large bath. A great hotel :)

A little dated interior, but that also had its charm… So not really.

Lovely breakfast. Had everything you needed in the room for one night. Great location. Beautiful town. Lovely staff. Secure parking
