Nice hotel in a good location. The staff are great and super helpful. As someone else has already said definitely the best ever scrambled egg at a buffet breakfast.

It would be great if they provided clearer instructions for accessing the car park and the layout of the car park. I drove around Arrass twice as I missed it first time round the one way whilst following directions to the hotel which is further on round the one way system. Also I parked at the furthest point from the HIE access as the layout of the car park isn't explained. Also grieved to see that rooms were going at a third of the price for turn ups one the day. Apparently the Booking.com rate is a premium rate. Didn't get any Genius benefits and the breakfast (which was good) is not optional.

Modern room, well laid out with plenty of space. In-room tea and coffee making facilities with option to request more from reception. Decent standard of toiletries (just hand wash / body wash and a shampoo - but pretty good). Breakfast was a decent variety with a freshly squeezed orange juice station which was a nice touch. Hotel is well situated - 7 min walk to the main areas but there are bars and cafes closer. Underground car parking (payable but convenient - 12euros). It’s a municipal car park but you can validate ticket and pay at hotel. There is a small bar area in the hotel. Drinks were reasonably priced and you could get a small selection of food there (we didn’t). Staff were friendly. Overall I would say good value for money when taking into account the quality of the room, breakfast / tea and coffee etc esp when compared to other places we stayed this holiday where the price was about the same but none of those extras included. But it doesn’t get the full marks of ‘exceptional’ because it is a chain so you don’t get some of the personal touches you might want on holiday in a hotel. All in all I would recommend.

Space, decor and fittings in the room were excellent

I had purposely asked about parking facilities. I even messaged regarding this as I am a disabled guest arriving on a modified trike and I was interested in using the underground parking facility. I was under the impression that this would be easy to find, whereas I had to leave my Trike outside fully loaded in a torrential rain storm to ask for directions to it, not made any easier due to road closures that no mapping app would show. As the hotel description mentions parking maybe a map showing the entrance could also be included or how about giving a ‘what3words’ location reference? - Just a suggestion!?!

The room was very comfortable, not noisy considering the proximity to the railway station. All facilities in the room functioned without problem - There was a mini fridge, tea & coffee, air conditioning. The shower was excellent. Breakfast provided a very wide choice, all very good, from early morning. Packed breakfasts were possible if arranged in advance. Plates were constantly replenished and the whole area was kept clean and tidy despite being busy. There were also luggage trolleys at the disposal of guests, which was a great help. The hotel was fairly close to the the town centre where many restaurants could be found. Staff were friendly and responsive.

An alternative option for bedding would have been appreciated. The coffee machines and toaster in the breakfast room were very noisy. The reception staff could all speak English, but with regard to reaching the dedicated parking area, instructions could have been clearer. We later discovered town maps at a different part of the reception desk and it would have been nice to have been offered one at the start of our stay and might have avoided us using the wrong car park.

Spacious rooms, which were cleaned on a daily basis. The beds were comfortable. We slept very well. The bathroom had everything one would need for a short (3 night) stay and in particular the shower was excellent. The staff was very friendly and supportive. It was definitely a plus to us they all spoke english. Parking facility below the hotel was great and easily accessible. We traveled on motorcycles and we could park for free. The hotel is located just a 5-7 minutes walk from city center. Two large squares, connected by a pedestrian's area and surrounded by beautiful buildings was a nice surprise.

We selected the hotel based on positive comments about the breakfast. It was not bad at all - for example, fresh croissants every day! - but we would have appreciated it more if there was more to chose between different types of bread and sandwich toppings.

The staff were very kind, the rooms were clean, the beds excellent - we all slept very well - and the breakfast was tasty (a hundred times better than HIEX in the UK), the location was perfect - near to the station but very quiet. Ten minute walk to Carrière Wellington in one direction and town centre in the other, easy to get in and out with the car. The rooms were perhaps a little on the dark side, the WiFi was temperamental and there was no milk to go with the coffee (instant), but it would be churlish to moan at such an excellent price (we stayed during the first week of April, just before the French state schools in the area broke up and the week before UK state schools, so hardly any tourists, in the hotel or in the town itself). Would happily stay again.

Good location, not too far off the motorway on the drive through France. Car park underneath, convenient and well signposted, but €12 per night. Spotlessly clean throughout. Good choice of beer and wine in the bar, and unlike some chain hotels they didn’t rip you off with ridiculous prices for a drink. Breakfast good, plenty of choice, hot and cold. Huge praise to the staff who were perhaps the most attentive and helpful that I have come across in ages. Thank you to all of you.

Arras is currently being renovated but that is not the hotel’s fault!

Breakfast was below expectations (given the prive we paid) Parking garage entrance - not related to the hotel itself, but entrance was not easy to find due to road constructions and the entrance of the old parking garage was small and damaged a wheel of my car… maybe ot is my bad driving skills(?). As mentioned not lhing to do with Holiday Inn but the guests should be very careful here

Hotel was typical of a Holiday Inn Express. Comfortable, clean and with a good bar and breakfast. Location for the town Squares of Arras are good to by foot.

Parking for our motorcycles was free (cars charged) but the parking whilst feeling pretty secure is underground in a car park open to the public, whilst Holiday Inn (and the Mercure Hotel) have designated areas it does mean I don't see it as 'on-site private' (and it may not be they advertise it as so, just making it clear). There is access to the hotel direct from the garage by lift though

Lovely clean room, with quality shower and fittings in the bathroom. Breakfast was included in the rate, and we were both pleasantly surprised how good it was.

The hotel is let down by the parking options. We followed the sat nav and road sign into a municipal car park at the back of the hotel. Whilst the car was ok, it didn't look very secure with poor lighting, no obvious security cameras covering the majority of the car park, and drunks hanging around. When we got into the hotel I asked if that was the correct car park and was advised they didn't have a car park, but I could alternatively park in an underground car park for something like 12 euros. I was surprised Holiday Inn didn't have their own car park or an arrangement with the car park provider. I checked reviews for that car park and that too suffers with drunks and people urinating.
