1st time stay but will definitely be back. Uber Charming Hotel. Staff are simply charming and uber helpful. Food at the restaurant is out of this world delisssh, the breakfast is plentiful and incredibly tasty. Perfect spot to see the Northern Lights. The Room was nice and warm as the temps began to turn a bit colder. Huge show with Rain head. Very comfortable bed and pillows.

A very large ( probably 3sq.ft) wooden frame painting was hung very low on the wall directly behind the pillows. Needs to be raised up the wall at least 24cm as to not hit your head accidentally in the middle of the night. Minor fix in an otherwise beautiful and charming hotel. Outdoor hot tub adds to the charm.

My only complaint is I wish we'd stayed longer than one night. The property is charming, with cute cabins, an outdoor tub and fireplace, and a little waterfall that ends in a pond with ducks floating about. The room was very comfortable, and nicely decorated. Bathroom was small but clean and well equipped. Dinner at the restaurant was terrific. My husband and I both had burgers and they were delicious, as was the apple dessert. We were sad that we didn't get to try out the tub. It was raining and we had to get an early start. We'd love to visit Hraunsnef again for a longer stay.

Would have loved an electric kettle in the room. It's very common in Iceland, so it was a surprise to only have a tiny coffee maker. As a tea drinker, I always appreciate an electric kettle. Not a big deal though.

I liked that individual room I was assigned. There is a tv, coffee machine. bathrobes, slippers etc. There is an individual bathroom which is practical. The beds were comfortable.

The maintenance is average, the floors could have been vacuumed. The heater in my room sounded like a river, and seemed to have been broken for a while. It was not heating and was very noisy. Told the receptionist but they didn't seem to be too receptive, again, it was on a weekend so maybe they didn't know who to call. There are hot tubs but I don't know how often they clean them, there was biomatter floating around which made me question if they actually filtered and maintained the water. Regarding the restaurant, the food was not bad, but the prices are too expensive for what it is, you can see that they are trying to "milk" the tourist season.

We liked staying in the cosy cabin with great views & a rustic feel with farm animals wandering around. It was great to enjoy a delicious 3 course menu in the restaurant but also able to self cater for one evening. The breakfast buffet was the best of the 3 hotels we stayed in on our 14 day Ring road trip. It was great to relax in the hot tub before a beer & cocktail during happy hour. We really relaxed here; just walking up the hill behind the hotel and visiting Grabrok crater & Gianni waterfall. It was the Independence day holiday weekend while we were there & many locals ate at the restaurant, we were pleased we booked ahead.

Some preparation for provision of new cabins was occurring. The bed was a small double, quite cosy!

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We only stayed one night but was perfect for us. We arrived in the late afternoon since the weather was quite cloudy and rainy. This way, we could enjoy their hot tubs without anyone else being in there. One faces towards a small waterfall, so it was very relaxing just watching and listening it. We also had dinner in their restaurant, and the food was superdelicious! The breakfast was also plentiful, with lots of options. I totally recommend staying over here, even if it is for one night.

Restaurant in the hotel is superb - excellent dinner and really the best breakfast we tried in whole Iceland. Hotel consists of several small houses of 1-3-5 rooms each, so there is some privacy, and you feel close to the nature there. There are a couple of warm tubs (baths) outside. Rooms is comfortable and quite.

We had unlucky accident with the toilet - bad smell from the shower sink. We tried to fight with it but failed and it spoiled our impression. Staff promised to fix it for next guests, hope they'll do )

The breakfast buffet included many different options. Also some vegan choices and it was assembled beautifully. The staff was very nice. We were in a small cottage with some essential cooking equipment. It was a bit cold, but there would have been an additional electric heater. We did not manage to use the hot tub, as the weather was quite windy, but there would be the option to. The location is also very beautiful with mountains and a wide panoramic view.

Very comfortable beds, quiet surroundings with little individual „garden“, very clean, breakfast was so good, lots of variety and homemade. Dinner was also very good, I was also impressed by the linen napkins both for dinner and breakfast-super nice touch!Lovely staff! We slept very well and were well rested. Really nice and interesting deco and artwork throughout!

The entire compound could use a little bit extra love, including the hot pots (small and a bit tired looking surroundings). It’s a very lovely compound, just slightly worn.

The breakfast was great and the choice and the quality of the products was excellent. The room was small but the furniture was nice and it was charming.

The road to arrive was really dangerous due to heavy rain on snow and a hill to drive. In the morning, the 2 minutes' walk from the room to the restaurant where the breakfast was served was slippery and my son fell down and hurt himself badly. I think it is not complicated to put some salt on the road to avoid such accident. Also we wanted to go to the jacuzzi when we arrived at night but it was dirty.

This place is a must if you're in the vicinity! The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We've stayed in one of the cabins at the top so the view was breathtaking, it was also convenient to park the car right next to the cabin. Inside it was warm and cozy, there was a lit up candle so it smelled great. We've watched the northern lights in the hot tub and it was unforgettable. But the best part was the breakfast. There was so much food and so much options... Everything was so delicious and we definitely ate too much :D If we ever come to visit Iceland again, we are booking a room here for sure!
