Everything!! Last minute booking and what a find!! The place is beautiful. Grounds, reception,room, facilities and breakfast I could honestly not fault. And that’s before I mention the staff. I’m used to excellent customer service in hotels in Portugal but this was without doubt the best I’ve come across. Everything single one of the girls on reception could not have been more helpful. Just first class. I used the gym and the pool which were fantastic, the outdoor seating area was very relaxing and the room spotless and modern (fantastic shower) Mini bar was really good and had complementary coffee and a bottle of water. By chance I arrived at a time then the biggest Medieval festival in Europe was on!! What an experience that was ( transport to the castle and back €5!!) The best hotel I’ve stayed in during my time in Portugal hands down! Try to get anything like this 15 mins away on the coast for less than 3 times what you’ll pay for this hotel! Will definitely check out the other hotel in the Duro Valley! Oh!! And they have a beautiful little friendly rescue dog at reception All the boxes ticked 10/10!

Honestly! Nothing at all.

The property was clean and very elegant. Interesting artwork throughout. The staff were friendly and helpful. They gave us additional tea bags when we asked for them at 10:00 at night. The room itself was very comfortable and there was a good selection of different types of pillows. The curtains were so efficient that we slept for 12 hours straight; not something we usually do! The inside garden was quiet and very tranquil. A great place for a morning coffee. The indoor pool was not too cold and was lovely. The breakfast was plentiful and had a lot of variety. They also have lovely little coffee candies distributed throughout the lobby and breakfast room which was a nice touch.

The only things I could negatively comment about the property was its location. It seemed like it was out in the middle of nowhere, but that made it super quiet. Also, the sower temp fluctuated a bit and was difficult to control, otherwise the bathroom was appointed thoroughly and to a high standard.

The staff are amazing! My workplace has a motto that must apply here too: nothing is someone else's job. Everyone was always on pitching in helping each other take care of this wonderful little property. And breakfast. Do NOT skip breakfast, it is worth every cento.

Location is quiet, but you pretty much need to get a taxi or drive places. That said, taxis are very reasonable. But it is so nice you don't want to leave!

The staff at the hotel were exceptional, in particular Adriana. She gave advice on local restaurants and organised taxis for us; nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were courteous and seemed genuinely happy. Our room was very comfortable, quiet and had all the amenities required. Breakfast offered a wide choice, well presented and delicious. We enjoyed using the gym and swimming pool.

I have to say,DS Hotel totally beyond my expectations！The environment is clean，tidy and bright.Breakfast was full of options and fresh and delicious.The room is warm, clean and spacious.Most importantly, their staff are very friendly, warm-hearted and helpful.They really helped us a lot！I'll choose it again next time

The property is clean, breakfast was tasty, the location is quiet and nice surroundings. The staff were all incredible and friendly, specially Lusa their rescue dog. The hotel decor is fabulous

Everything was lovely, however maybe more options for room service i understand they have no restaurant. They did say they could recommend any restaurants.

The Hotel is brand new and the entire facility is absolutely incredible. The spa, the swimming pool, the rooms, the staff. It is highly recommended

The location is not perfect, but it quite ok. Close to the most beautiful beaches of the north of Portugal

Bed was good and comfortable with very good pillows. TV was big and nice and staff was very helpful and nice. The location was nice, close to places to visit in "Feira" and good car road connections.

The room we got was a bit small for what we expected. The shower water temperature would sometime fluctuate and turn instantly cold. Was a bit annoying that.

- Staff was very friendly and approachable - Breakfast had good options, even for vegans like me

- It's not that I didn't like it but the chandelier right above the bed was very dangerous... if you are sleeping and something happened that it felt, you were dead...

Breakfast was very good. The room was spacious, very clean. A great shower.

The facilities were described as having a wellness centre with beauty treatments and massages. This was our main reason for selecting this hotel as it is based in an industrial park. When we arrived and wanted to book some treatments, we were informed there was only a pool, no soa treatments.
