Just finished a stay at La Maison de Maurice and it was great. Adriana was very helpful and welcoming and the room was well appointed and stocked. The location is terrific for wandering around Beaune and has easy access from the feeder roads into the town. The parking at Republique is very handy and close by and having used it on this stay and in the past there has always been spaces available. We would stay at Maurice in a minute for our next visit in Beaune.

As mentioned in some other reviews the stairs are a bit steep so if you are unfit or have a large number of heavy suitcases it might be a challenge but it was not a real issue for us and I am almost 70.

The location is just perfect: situated middle in the city center, only a few minutes walk from Hotel-Dieu, Notre-Dame, and many cafes and restaurants. Our room on the 2nd floor is spacious and filled with sunlight from roof windows. Nice interior design. Marie was very attentive and friendly, gave us handy information on wines, restaurants and Saturday market.

The bathroom is in the room separated only with some glass walls and too close to the bed, so it's sometimes annoying because you hear everything when the toilet is occupied. The fridge is too small for a bottle of cremant.

We wanted a central location in the heart of Beaune - and this was perfect. The view out of the windows was traditional and very 'French'. The hotel is based above a wine shop (that does tastings!) and easy to find. We parked on the street for 24 hrs no problem - although it cost us c.€40. There were five of us - plus a dog - and the space was perfect (although 2 of the 5 beds were a pull-out sofa bed). The air-conditioned rooms were lovely and well appointed; the wifi was strong and all keys / fobs worked easily and first time. We had two bathrooms and both had good showers. The owner recommended a lovely restaurant to try and then provided a delicious French breakfast in the morning. (including multiple croissant runs for my children!) N.B. There was a small parc 2 mins walk away which was perfect for early morning wees for our dog!

The rooms are accessed by a narrow wooden spiral staircase which was a bit tricky with large suitcases. There were lots of knick-knacks in the rooms that looked lovely but were very tempting for little fingers to keep picking up and playing with! The room facing the street was a little noisy when cars went over the cobblestones, but it wasn't too bad if the windows were shut.

We stayed in the suite this time. It was very spacious and well designed. The air conditioning was very nice for the summer. The water pressure and hot water in the shower were very good. Towels were very high quality. Water in the mini fridge was a nice touch.

The mattress is a little thin, and I could feel the springs at times.

Excellent location in the heart of Beaune. Helpful staff - be patient with their English, it helps. Free parking a short walk away. Stylish, spacious rooms with excellent a/c and ventilation. Breakfast featured probably the best pain au chocolat we've ever had.

Our room (The Suite) had a bathroom whose walls didn't reach the ceiling - just for privacy reasons, it would've been nicer to have a fully enclosed bathroom.

Quirky place above a wineshop in central Beaune. Space out front to offload luggage, but parking 5 minute walk. A/C worked well, very needed in the summer! Host was very friendly and helpful.

Beds were a bit on the hard side for us. Be aware that on Saturday mornings the market closes off many streets around the flat.

Absolutely amazing location. The staff were incredibly helpful. I’ve hardly encountered more helpful staff anywhere I’ve ever stayed. I was genuinely blown away by how lovely they were. The room was also excellent. Very well-equipped and very nice. I literally could not fault this in any way. Easy 10/10. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Beaune, look no further

I have nothing negative to say whatsoever

The location is incredible and quiet in the evenings. Easy to walk around Beaune easy to get out to the vineyards and wineries. Staff is very kind and proactive about reaching out to ensure you have everything you need. Apartment is very spacious with everything you need. Shower works well and water gets hot. AC works very well.

The welcome at the Wine shop was great and we got a good explanation of all the room's features. We were able to leave our bags after checkout and pick them up several hours later when we left town. We got good recommendations on places to eat and visit. After we returned to get our bags after checkout while waiting for our ride we were given a free wine tasting.

La Maison de Maurice is a quirky place, but full of charm. It's incredibly well located in the heart of Beaune providing walking access to all locations within the ramparts. The optional breakfast option provided more than enough, and everything was superb quality.
