Staff was really nice from checking in to checking out. We got in late, later than we expected by hours, and it wasn't a problem at all. Check in was quick and easy. The lady was nice and helpful. I thought breakfast went to 10:30am and got down to breakfast at 10am and even though it ended at 10am I found out the ladies working were very helpful and accommodating and I really appreciated them going out of their way. We were able to get breakfast.The shower was really nice. Room warmed up quickly and my son was really cold when we arrived. Everything was clean and as described.

I was very impressed. I tend to stay at Marriott Hotels, but the price for my stay was such a deal that I decided to give Sleep Inn a shot. Needless to say, it did not disappoint. Extremely clean, turn down service daily, extremely friendly staff that did not hesitate to help at a moments notice. The only thing I wish they had was a "Market" to buy snacks. If they did, I missed it. Other than that, I would 10/10 recommend this hotel to anyone visiting State College.

The girl working the breakfast area 7/19 could have done a better job showing another family how to use the waffle maker. They seemed confused and she was worried about arranging muffins or going in the back for something. Another guest was trying to get water from the empty pitcher and she commented “well someone unscrewed this” and the guest said “I did to try to get water…can you just refill this?” And she did. But I felt like she was good at stocking stuff but not interested in helping or explaining. She said “juice is over on the other side”. Well the juice was in a completely separate room…how were they supposed to find that??! She was friendly but had her own agenda of tasks.

The feel was home away from home. Five stars for the spacious room, hot water shower, coffee machine, microwave and fridge.. Five stars to Becca who with her sweet voice repeatedly said “all good there” “do you need any help?” “30 seconds in the microwave dear” throughout the breakfast sessions. Always willing to make your breakfast experience the best. Excellent service from reception staff Melissa, Betty, Kim and the other beautiful ladies. Ben and the entire housekeeping. Bonus points for the laundry room on the 3rd floor. You see why I called it home away from home… ***** best experience. Second time staying at Sleep Inn in Dec 2022, no less of a beautiful experience with the Christmas cheer. Stayed 15 days of the cold winter in this warm place not just the building and heaters within but the warmth from the people that run the show day in and day out. Melissa, Kim, Betty, Alice, Martha, Ben and my favorite Becca. Thank you for a memorable stay.. see you all again soon.

My son was the person who stayed here 3 nights. The location was very close to Penn State University as he was there to teach classes for his advisor. The price point was very good as most hotels in this town are grossly overpriced. The room was clean, quiet and had a fridge & microwave. The hotel was clean overall.

The bed & pillows were not very comfortable

clean, nice, complete room. TV, fridge, microwave, hair dryer, coffee maker. a lot of these things are disappearing from rooms in other hotels.

shower head is low, and the shower controls a little tough to guess how they work. desk area is in front of the TV. ok for 1 person, but second person is blocked by person working at desk area.

The location was nice. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room was clean and they gave us free bottled water that was cold. Plenty of towels and pillows! The free breakfast was replenished many times and a lot of nice choices from sausage biscuits, fresh fruit, to muffins and waffles.

Beds were a bit too firm for our liking.

The woman at the front desk whose name may have been Patty was marvelous. She made us feel she was happy to see us and enjoyed chatting with us and figured out what we needed to have a great stay.

I wish there had been hot chocolate at breakfast, and egg sandwiches that didn't have meat in them.

Things felt nice and the beautiful decorations for Easter made it feel homey. There were a few things in the room that could have used some attention. Leaking shower dust and cobwebs on bathroom ceiling. It was very comfortable and I will be back.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. Location was close enough to Penn State, while still being quiet and calm.

The breakfast wasn't great. I am vegetarian and found that there were few breakfast options which would be filling.
