The staff was super friendly, particularly the young lady who checked me in when I arrived. The room was modern, attractive and very comfortable. And the hotel breakfast was the best I’ve ever had - all the little details went above and beyond! And it was perfect that we were right next to a Target, where I could go before hitting the road to get snacks and supplies for the rest of my trip.

The parking situation was not great. It was uncomfortable to have to park my car across an alley while I went in to figure out check in and unloading, particularly as a woman traveling alone.

This hotel is very convenient to everything in the downtown area. They offer free parking at 2 garages across the street from the hotel, just be sure to have your license plate ready when checking in so you receive the garage parking pass prior to parking. The beds were very comfortable and the young man working the front desk both nights was stellar!

2 things I did not like 1) the shower was a rain shower and had very little water pressure 2) it was February when we stayed and the indoor air in our room was exceptionally dry

Clean, quiet rooms.

Normally Hyatte Place State College has decent coffee which is a big plus but this time around, we were surprised to find coffee was already cold or lukewarm by 8am. And it tasted like it was a leftover from the night before. This was a big minus for us. Also, a restaurant staff was leaving an empty bag when he refilled some items on the counter. Some plates were not clean as well. Overall, the hotel itself and the rooms are still very nice but I feel like Hyatt is cutting a corner with breakfast and shrinking budget and attention.

Fantastic, walkable location in the heart of State College. We had a room with two double beds and a couch. It was very comfortable and spacious. I appreciated the fact that the shampoo, conditioner and body wash were in refillable containers rather than small, individual use packaging. Chris at the front desk was very helpful when I was trying to add an additional day to our stay. He was professional and friendly and went the extra mile to try to figure things out for me.

I think the hotel is a bit expensive.

Easy check-in, nice clean and well-maintained room with a sitting area (common with rooms with king size beds), large-ish bathroom with decent counter space, night stands and reading lamps on both sides of the bed (not as common as you might expect). Good breakfast buffet.

Parking was in a garage across a busy street, and normally costs an extra $12/day. (It happened to be free the weekend we were there.) The towels were rough, but that's being picky, something that kept "very good" from being "great".

My room was ready a bit earlier than check in time, and after a long travel, I really appreciated it. Everything was super clean, the breakfast buffet was awesome and it is near everything. The staff was very friendly in responding to questions and request. If you speak another language that is not English, you should feel comfortable. My spouse and I never felt unsafe speaking Spanish. Lastly, the room was so spacious!

There was no safe, but then again, I didn't leave anything important in the room.

Breakfast was an ameliorating experience. I have a food allergy so I did eat an omelete that had cheddar. It might be helpful to note ingredients that might cause reactions [nuts, aged cheese, etc. ] Karl, Isabella, and Breana delivered top notch service. I had a massive embarrasing women's accident and they helped me to move swiftly into self care. Everyone was so helpful during a humiliating moment. I felt seen and valued as a customer even before check in. I love the fact that parking was near and close and included in the cost. I love the fact that Target/Starbucks is next door too. Perfect for picking up needed items you may have forgotten.

I definitely wish this property had microwaves in rooms but otherwise an awesome experience.

Big & comfy room. No fluff but super clean & spacious. Staff here are beyond AMAZING! We had a water pressure issue on the 8th floor (found out others did as well) and were unable to shower so that was inconvenient. The girl at the front desk was so apologetic & took a good chunk off of our bill, which we greatly appreciated. The breakfast was very good with lots of selections!

I do not like glass doors on the bathroom when traveling with family. Any time someone uses the bathroom in the middle of the night, the light comes streaming into the room. Also, I prefer sink on the outside of the bathroom. It makes it so much easier to get ready in the mornings with a family.

Love location

I stay there whenever I am in town. The fact that to can stay in this room for 175$ a night when I come up and it’s close to 3,000 for the same exact room to see my son graduate is criminal. I can see raising prices but that is an abomination. It’s always been my fave place to come and stay and I get raising prices but that was ridiculous.
