Meals (breakfast and evening meal) were excellent. Service was very good. Staff friendly. Only 10 minute walk to city tram (Strassenbahn) network. 20 minutes into centre of Cologne. €3.50 for single ticket. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. No late night noise from the bar/restaurant downstairs.

Scaffolding on the hotel building right outside our room (although not being used when we were there). Building work directly opposite as the Rathaus (Town Hall) had been demolished - started early in the morning. Rooms were a bit small. No drawers for clothes (there was a wardrobe). Only one chair to sit on and relax. We were on the 2nd floor - there is no lift - this was not an issue for us but worth noting.

Lovely location easily reached by u bahn no 16. Large room, great shower. Big windows which aired room nicely. Supermarkets nearby. Pleasant shopping area nearby. Host pleasant. Easy access by key to property and room late at night.

Was a really strong smell of stale cigarettes when we came into the room. Also in the breakfast area stank of smoke. Really spoilt my breakfast. Was a coffee machine in our room. Didn't use it as we didn't find the pods until just before we left. In a silver tin that looked like a table top rubbish bin, nowhere near the coffee machine. Road was quite busy and noisy.

After reading some reviews we didn’t expect too much. However, Tom the owner was delightful and caring.‘ He helped with our luggage up some stairs ( no lift) and parking our car. This hotel/ pub has a beautiful beergarten and great ( with local dishes) menu. Our breakfasts were amazing, all cheerfully served by Tom. We will stay there again. 😊👍 Shops , supermarkets and tram/ bus very close.

A friendly family run hotel and brauhaus in Rodenkirchen half way between Cologne and Bonn with a good tram service to both cities. The town is on the bank of the Rhine and there are walking trails along the river. The brauhaus seerves good food and there arelots of shops and restaurants around.

Easy to find, good friendly welcome in English. Smallish single room but perfect for my needs. Breakfast standard buffet continental but really nice. The owner both mornings remembered my name and always called me Mr Lyons (nice little touch)

A small single room in an area about 20min from city centre by train. Good facilities close by, albeit I was there on a weekend when a lot of businesses were closed. Parking in a public car space across from hotel at hourly rates, but free down the road in a side road. Good host once you found him (reception in a restaurant/bar alongside entrance), excellent breakfast on day one (a Sunday), okay on day 2.

A fair distance from city centre, but knew that before booking. Train easy to catch once you worked out how. Plenty of shops close by including a supermarket.

The hotel value for money is great! The staff is very kind and the amenities of the room were perfect for a short stay. It is located in a good zone and not far from the public transport. The breakfast is also good.

Cleanliness of the room could have been better but it was ok.

Staffs were really helpful and helped me to get an early check in

Overall the there is a lot of room for improvement when it comes to cleaning and cleanliness.

Easy to find and good parking opposite...various shops and bars within minutes of the hotel. 3rd visit and will keep returning

Bit of a delay with check in but I think they were short staffed. No fridge in the room
