The PLAZA Premium is a great hotel if you're looking to spend time in Cologne. There's grocery stores, loads of restaurants and some concert / event venues nearby, as well as a tram station from which you can quickly reach most parts of the city. Though it's located on a busier road, I didn't hear any of the traffic in my room at all. The room and bathroom were very clean and pretty. The staff provided everything I needed for my stay and more, from tea to coffee and toiletries. For a quick check in and check out, you can do it all online, which made things a lot more comfortable. The rooms also come with A/C and heating which you can change to the temperature you prefer digitally. The WIFI was really good and consistent all throughout the building.

The beds could have been a bit softer, the mattresses were pretty hard throughout my first night. But you get used to it quickly.

We felt very comfortable. The room was warm and clean. A huge plus for the fact that they provide two different types of pillows for each person to choose what is best for them. The hotel may not be central, but it was perfect for us. Situated right next to the river, perfect to enjoy long peaceful walks. Bus and tram stops are just around the corner and they take you directly to the city centre or to the train station.

Although one could see that the room was clean, the little bits of mold in the shower were not removed, which was not nice to see.

Friendly reception team. I required a band aid and they gladly helped me, even with a spare for later. Check in was smooth, check out was smooth. Special mention to Hatice Gul Tak who is an asset to the company. She even arranged a cup of tea before my departure. I had a nice room with a street view, bathroom was good with good quality shower gel, hand-wash, and other toiletries. It had a large, full length wardrobe mirror. Personally I think a full length mirror is essential for any good hotel. Tea/coffee facilities, mini fridge and a complimentary bottle of water which was very much needed and appreciated on arrival. It’s the small gestures like these that make a difference. My room was clean. I stayed for 4 nights and I did not require the room to be serviced.

The property is not in the heart of Cologne although it is not terribly far away. This is not a fault of the property. However, for me it was not an issue. I found that once you learn the system of travel, it is easy to get back and forth using the trains or buses available. Personally, I prefer the trains.

We've booked this hotel because we went to visit the Christmas markets in Köln in december 2024. This is a good hotel for a good price with friendly staff. The beds were also good and very large! Also the breakfast was good.

Maybe you could add some extra signs that leads guests to the correct part of the garage. On the bottom floor there are 2 parts, one part for people living in appartments and one for hotel guests (which is at the end).

I stayed in a big room with a desk and chairs. The bed was comfortable. A bottle of water, coffee and tea options were available in the room, together with a kettle. The staff was very polite and friendly. They offered me a cup of tea while waiting for the check-in process, and also helped me buy city tickets. The hotel was at 5 minutes walking distance to the location of an event I am attending. So, the location was convenient for my needs.

The hotel is not in the center of Cologne or Mülheim. It takes some time and effort to reach the city center. It becomes even more complicated during early or late hours, and over the weekend when public transport is not very effective. Unfortunately, no city ticket is provided by the hotel. The room was clean in general, but the sink in the bathroom was partially clogged. The water didn't went through well.

The rooms were large and very well fitted, clean and comfortable. The lounge and bar are well designed and comfortable. We did not have breakfast at the property,

Just a little observation about the staff. There were about four young men at the reception when we arrived, and none seemed to know what hit them. It was as if we were martians just dropped from the sky in a spaceship. They seemed unsure what to do with us. One of them then started quoting the prices of our rooms, whereby I stopped him and said that the rooms had already been paid through booking.com. After a while he apparently found the payment and proceeded to check us in.

The property was close to the city center and close to the train line. The staff was lovely and helpful. I felt safe and the place was clean.

I stayed a while and had them clean my room one time and they took the trash and changed the towels. My bathroom floor was dirty. I was able to take an extra towel and clean it myself.

Firstly, the staff were polite and friendly, patiently dealing with any query I had. It might be in their job description but I must highlight that they were very pleasant to interact with. Walking distance from local shops and amenities, and the prices are reasonable since the location is outside the centre. With the number of police cars around, I assumed there is a police station nearby so very secure location. Located along a main road but not busy and quiet for the most part.

I guess the AC and fridge. Outdoor temperature at 34°C on average so I was expecting the fridge and AC to be cooler but the staff couldn't do anything about it ie I had the AC at -3° but unsure if it was Fahrenheit or Celsius because the room was still very warm.

The hotel was super clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Had a little hiccup at the start of the stay as the door wouldn’t lock and we were put into another room within 2 minutes. 100% recommend staying here. Within 10 minutes of the nearest tram and underground station plus bus stop right outside.

I didn’t have any negatives about the property

Very big and spacey rooms, we were pleasantly surprised! The bathroom is great as well. The noise isolation is alright, we haven't heard much! Overall very good!

Location is not the best, but it is to be expected considering much lower prices for the rooms! Just take into account that might take 30-40 minutes to get to the city center.
