Our stay at Cambridge Cottages was superb. We stayed in Kookaburra Cottage, which was clean, cosy and warm. The faux log fire was on when we arrived late in the evening and it was a delight to be greeted with a pre-warmed and welcoming space to settle into. Everything about the cottage was perfect; it is set in beautiful, bird-filled gardens and the extra efforts our hosts went to to make our stay more enjoyable were truly appreciated. Chocolates and port, proper milk and coffee, a comfy bed, lush, thick towels in the bathroom - and only a stone's throw from the local shops...definitely walkable, but we drove :-)

It is always great heading up to the Dandenong's for a relaxing time and I would recommend it to anyone out there as they never fail to be homely and comfortable. Unfortunatley we copped a wet few days which stopped us from sitting outside on the deck but you cant stop mother nature.

Not much...Great little cottage and very clean with lovely gardens surrounding it...but as it was raining a lot we went to watch some Netflix and have a drink Friday night but the TV is an older version without that capability (has a built in DVD only) which we found a couple we liked. If we could possibly suggest an upgrade of this to a smart TV (which are very cheap now days) it would have been perfect. Normal TV is veryyy boring.

My husband and I stay here each year for our anniversary. The hosts are amazing, the gardens are just beautiful, and the cottages are so cute, cosy, and always clean. Then there's the little touches that just make it feel even more welcoming... you walk into a beautifully scented cottage with soft music playing on your arrival, and not to mention the breakfast provided is always fantastic and so thoughtfully put together! It's quite literally my favourite getaway place!

Jamie and I loved the quaint little cottage with attention to detail. Fireplace was on when we arrived and the ambience and serenity was priceless. The breakfast supplied was amazing. We loved the comforts this cottage oozed. Couldn't ask for a better relaxing weekend away, set in amongst the trees and wildlife. The forrest setting was wonderful, lots of birds and flowers. Good location, good to have a car but we did walk to the village for dinner. Close to the Botanic Gardens. Great breakfast supplies provided, plenty of food for us and dietary preferenes wete catered for. Nice touch to have lovely tea service to use and complimentary port. Happy for the gas stove as it was very cold and rainy during our visit. We had a very relaxing visit. Great communication from the hosts.

There are not enough words to describe how perfect our stay was! The cottage was splendid, very clean, cozy and comfortable and Karen and Tamara were so lovely to have some music and the fire going for our arrival. This was the perfect little romantic getaway. The location is also so close to shops/cafes but it feels like you’re worlds away in your own space. It was very quiet and serene. We will definitely be making this an annual getaway!

I loved everything about the cottage. Thoughtful touches like beautiful tableware, relaxing music playing on arrival. It was just gorgeous and I wish we could have stayed longer. Its walking distance to the village and a short drive to supermarket and surrounded by nature. It is also under an hour from Melbourne so I would definitely stay here over being in town.

The attention to detail was incredible! As soon as we walked through the front door, we were greeted with serenity! Warm fire, warm lighting and warm music. It set the tone for our peaceful stay 💖💖 The lady who owns this place is so lovely! She was very responsive to our messages and you can feel how much she loves what she does. Generous breakfast supplies and variety. Beautiful views. Very quiet and peaceful. Generous toiletry supplies. Unlike many other cottages, no pages and pages of rules and expectations of guests. Could actually just relax and not stress, just enjoy the weekend in the charming cottage.

Be good to have a reading lamp downstairs for reading in the evening.

The location is beautiful. I had been there before so was looking forward to going again. There was a great attention to detail from the fresh flowers in vases, the little chocolates and port to the fact that the heating and music had been switched on prior to my arrival. Everything was clean and tidy and conducive to a very relaxing ambience which was exactly what I needed.The directions provided were clear and the reception on the day I arrived was friendly. The breakfast provided was more than adequate (milk juice water and butter in the fridge, 2 types of cereal and both instant and pod coffee and tea).

The only tiny thing that I didn't like ( I may be being just a tad fussy) is that the tea towels smelt a little musty. There really wasn't anything else that I didn't like. Everything else was perfect.
