Once in a while a host and property comes along that raises the bar. That host & property is Julie/Joe's Mountain Lodge. An exceptional B&B experience, far surpassing expectations! We've never felt so pampered (especially in terms of vegan catering!) Our hosts were the ideal—perfect to communicate with and tireless in meeting every anticipated, even unanticipated want or need. Their attentiveness, tireless effort and generosity made for a flawless retreat experience on our 17th anniversary. This property is not only exceptional value for money, but you can see that the hosts' love, creative flair and expert craftsmanship has gone into creating and maintaining the perfect B&B experience. Homemade bread, baskets of top notch goodies for breakfast and afternoon tea, bubbly on ice by the bathtub on arrival! The property itself was stylish, luxurious and comfortable in every regard. Immaculately clean, with every possible creature comfort provided for. We enjoyed full immersion in the forest surrounds from our two story Salvatore Suite with perfectly positioned spa bath overlooking forest setting. We even saw a comet from our top floor balcony! We were afforded total privacy, with Julie discreetly leaving gift baskets on our porch without our ever noticing she'd been. The location is close to local townships as well as forest tracks and Sky HIgh, yet securely tucked away off the main road on lush, expansive grounds surrounded by trees and birds with plenty of seating nooks to enjoy sipping tea or reading a book in. The interior is also supplied with quality linen, towels, glassware, kitchen supplies, complementary slippers and bathrobes...you name it...everything was of the highest standard and quality. We can't rate this property highly enough and we can't thank our hosts enough for their truly exceptional care and effort! Julie for Prime Minister!!!

A wonderful place to stay. Julie and Joe are such friendly people and the breakfasts supplied were hearty and delicious. Julie's home cooked treats were a welcome bonus! The furniture and decor is just right and the kitchen well equipped. A gas fire provides comforting feel downstairs. Everything works well - even the shower in the bath upstairs which looks like it will spray water everywhere but actually works just fine. Easy drive to nearby villages.

The accommodation has stairs external and internal, but this is part of the accommodation style. Not good on the knees but I knew what I was getting.

The thoughtful touches made the experience truly magical — a delightful breakfast with warm, freshly baked bread, the soothing embrace of the spa, and the Canara log fire that filled the entire cabin with cozy warmth. The indulgent grazing platter paired with a fine bottle of wine, and the plush robes waiting to be wrapped around you after a relaxing soak, all came together in perfect harmony. Every detail was simply exquisite — a flawless escape from start to finish.

We would like to thank Joe & Julie for the wonderful stay at their Mountain Lodge. It has been a wonderful experience, just what my wife and I needed. On arrival, we were greeted by the beautiful Julie, who was very welcoming and polite. The Salvatore Room was absolutely gorgeous, clean and well presented. It was very warm, cosy and very comfortable, just what the doctor ordered, a tranquil place, just to relax with my wife and I, and share a couple of days of rest and unity. Also taking in all the beautiful views and towns in the area. Thank you for the wonderful treats you made, bread, cannoli and the pancake basket. Compliments to the Chef. We loved everything about the property!!! It was beautiful, clean and cozy. Julie and Jo were so kind and brought us bread and pancakes in the morning and littles sweets for afternoon tea. We were absolutely spoilt. I had a headache and the spa bath melted it away and Jo even gave my fiancé a lift to his car. The kindness and care has blown us away and we can’t wait to come back.

The breakfasts were delicious with very generous serving sizes! The freshly baked bread was divine. The gas fireplace was extremely efficient, the upstairs spa bath was perfect for one person to be completely relaxed in with a beautiful view of the treetops. The bed was especially comfortable. Lots of thoughtful and nice touches in the cottage, including the availability of local vouchers and take-away menus. Only a very short drive from some lovely walks and waterfalls, and a short drive or moderate walk to local cafes restaurants.

We loved our stay at this magical fairytale mountain lodge. It was really peaceful and comfortable. Julie and Joe were very friendly and accomodating and it was a pleasure to get to know them. The lodge itself is perfect for a long weekend. We enjoyed the breakfast and treats as well. The beds are comfortable and all the little touches make this lodge even more charming. Cosy and peaceful. The host Julie was very welcoming. Afternoon tea and breakfast hampers were delicious. A beautiful property and great location with just a short drive to Cafes and Shops. Lots of thought has gone into making guests feel at home. Would highly recommend this place.

Julie and Joe were wonderful hosts and the accommodation was beautiful. There was so much attention to detail in everything, you can tell they put a lot of love into the lodge. We had an amazing stay and felt very relaxed and well looked after. The lodges are in a great location, very close to cafes, local shops, great pubs and restaurants. Thank you for a great experience! Can't wait to stay again.

So cozy and beautifully decorated!! Caramel slice for afternoon tea when we arrived - delicious!! Breakfast supplies were amazing - Julie's home made bread was the best !! Thank you:-)

The electric hot plate cooker was painfully slow ...it took about 45min for us to prepare breakfast given it cooked so slow, Id recommend an upgrade on this :-)
