- The two bedrooms cottage is cosy & comfortable with spacious living room, with comfortable sofas. Lot of space for our family of four. - The cottage has everything we need, e.g. fridge, microwave, kettle, even washing machine/dryer (we didn’t use them) - Seclusive and quiet, we slept well throughout the nights without disturbances..
- Wifi/Internet was intermittent & hard to connect (bit late & we didn’t follow up with staff). - Only our Telstra mobile worked, Vodafone mobile has no signal (SOS only). - Isolated & narrow road to property, windy & dirt-road. The hotel entrance via Olinda creek is steep - via Barbers road is easier.

Friendly, clean, lounge area spacious, trees surrounding, fresh air, close to quiet towns.
Other guests were eating lovely buffet breaky at times, but I was only able to purchase a $15 breakfast pack which was a bit overpriced and not appealing to me as it didn't include yoghurt, and was more of a kids snacks pack to me. A little more food options on site would have been nice. Error making my bed, bottom sheet forgotten - small brown stain - did not smell but was off-putting, staff were helpful and apologetic and resolved in a friendly manner which made it not a problem to me. The car park is very dusty, and made it necessary to take hire car to a carwash and vacume the dust before returning it in Melbourne. Dragging a suitcase over rocks, put dust in the cars boot which needed to be vacumed before returning hire car.

I love that this place is tucked away in a beautiful, tranquil part of the Dandenongs. We really enjoy going for hikes and exploring the local walking tracks around the Olinda Falls area. This is wonderful value for money.
This is not a dislike, but just something to point out to others looking to book here. They don't have onsite food/ bar that is open. They do have a complimentary coffee / tea station and bottled water and breakfast packs so be prepared to drive 5mins down the road to enjoy lunch / dinner offsite. This is one of the reasons why the accommodation is so affordable.

Location was stunning and tranquil, staff were wonderful and very accommodating/helpful. Room was clean, comfy, on the smaller side but all we needed (myself and 3yo child). Very cosy relaxed atmosphere in general and beautiful, well maintained gardens.
Was a little sad to find no little fridge in our room, however there was also nowhere to sit and eat either so the idea is that you would eat/drink in the dining area. Drinking glasses in room, complimentary bottles of water in a fridge at reception and an in room kettle were all provided, but it is nice to have cold water close by.

This is a value for money time away. If you are wanting buffet breakfasts and room service this is not the place for you. If you are after comfortable accommodation to use as your base to enjoy the gorgeous surrounding area, manicured Gardens and lovely country style eateries then this is.
I really didn't like how some of the residents were being rude to the staff. This place offers basic tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary bottled water and continental breakfast packs. But it is a beautiful and peaceful part of the world. For what you pay for I think this is excellent value, remember to be kind.

Tranquil. Quiet. Private. The staff are friendly, efficient and organised. Common areas are clean and well-stocked, and the grounds are stunning. The rooms are clean (but some have fridges and others don’t - call ahead to check; eg room 23 did not have a fridge, 21 did). Comfortable. Pleasant views. And quiet - you sometimes hear heavy-footed people in the hallway, but overall it’s a non-issue. Rooms are well-stocked with teas, coffees, milk, hot chocolate, sufficient cutlery etc. There’s a hairdryer in the bathroom, as well as tamper-proof shampoo, conditioner & body wash. Clean towels, bath mat etc. The shower had good pressure and was very clean
The road leading to the property is extremely rough. Make sure you enter the street address rather than the name into the GPS, then you won’t be led over the rough road. I wish that this had been relayed to me before I started driving, but live and learn :) If you’re coming from Lilydale, you’ll be fine. If you’re coming from Seville, it might be easier to go through Lilydale/Monbulk to avoid the bad road. The kettle in room 21 was a little grimy, so I didn’t use it.

Location is beautiful. Room was fresh and clean. Nice garden view.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed which we thought odd for a Saturday night, but we had a nice tea in Olinda - a ten minute drive away. Would've liked to have had a fridge in the room, even a small one. There was a communal fridge in the dining area but it was tiny and wouldn't like to put our items in it anyway, where anyone could access. Bathroom is tiny but had everything we needed. Pool was dirty - weren't going to swim anyway but if we wanted to that would've been a turn off.

I loved this stay! The place was clean, its was large and open and I felt accomodated and welcome. The room was set up with two beds especially for my sister and I and we had everything we needed.
So many people reviewed the rooms are small, but they more than accomodated my sister and I - especially as the property itself has a large common area with a fire place and pool table and plenty of seating. It was well lit and nicely heated - we had a wonderful night playing pool with some other guests - it’s was awesome.

Gardens were beautiful
Had a nursing home feel to it. Lay out, corridor rooms looked like a retirement village. Or a conference centre. Walls are very thin. Every time the neighbour opened a wardrobe or door, it sounded like it was in your room. It wasn’t busy at all. I think only two couples at the whole facility, and they roomed us next to each other. Very noisy overnight when whey went to the toilet. Ensuite also very tiny. But it suited us for a one night stay.

The way from Belgrave was Hard to Drive with a small car, the direct way to Melbourne was much better; no possibility for a Dinner Inside the Hotel
