The cottage was beautifully decorated with every aspect considered for a lovely stay including great instructions. Appreciated the breakfast, assortment of teas, fresh bread and fresh organce juice. The surrounding gardens were lovely to look gaze at. It was a great way to relax and unwind. The cottages are very close to the main centre as well which was super convenient for food etc. The cottage we stayed in is quite petite/cosy with a smaller couch at the living/dining level, my husband is 6.1 so just an FYI. Irrespective of this we had an amazing stay and will be back again! Definitely recommend!

Easy check-in. Spacious, comfortable cottage with a modern bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen. Breakfast was a DIY spread of fresh eggs, bacon, bread, yoghurt and fresh fruit. I liked how a coffee machine with capsules of different intensity and fresh milk was provided. Water pressure in the bathroom was great and there was ample hot water. There was also a gas fire in the cottage so it was cosy. Serene garden, beautiful flowers, very relaxing setting.

Nothing really that we didn't like. It was a lovely cottage and we could easily have spent more time; but it was pricey.

When you arrive you a greeted with a tree lined driveway that winds towards the cottage with a picturesque aspect that has the WOW factor you want for a holiday retreat. There is a deck out the front with seating where the parrots and birds come to visit and a large picture window that frames the gardens - it's stunning. Inside the home is quaint and filled with activities and notes, bird food and access to a full kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. As a travelling family, this was invaluable.

As a mum travelling with kiddos, a trundle bed would have been a great addition and some plastic plates would have eased stress a little at dinner times. The advert suggests breakfast is included which it is, but not daily which is what I expected. Not sure how that could have been worded differently to avoid confusion, but there was a generous selection of food stuffs in the fridge but as a family of 4 that lasted 1 day of our 5 day stay.

Soo pretty and cozy The hosts have already prepared like everything you need and you may need, they even have bird food just in case you want to feed the wild bird outside! It was so surprised that we found everything has a guide in the house and in the message, they even thinked about if you use different maps so they have sent me different links from different maps, it was surprisingly comfortable and beautiful.

If mentioned that the breakfast is that you should cook yourself would be better, cause we were waiting for the breakfast until we found that there was eggs milk bread and fruits in the kitchen. But everything was fresh and good.

The cottage was stunning and made it all the more comfortable for a winter get away with it being carpet not floorboards. It was cosy and had all we needed. Clean and gorgeous with the beautiful view from the lounge window. Very clean and breakfast supplied was perfect!

Bedrooms were rather cold as there was no heating other than the man lounge and dining so even with the doors open, it was still cold being middle of winter. Couple of other minor issues but have let the owners know so I’m sure they will look at those and be fixed before next occupant.

There was a good choice for breakfast. I would suggest a large bread knife be supplied for slicing bread for toast. The bread was so fresh, it broke up using the smaller knife. (Bread of course, was delicious). The bed was very comfortable & the bathroom was beautifully appointed.

Being winter in the Dandenongs, most restaurants were closed in the evening. We didn't know that was the case. We would have had a main meal at lunchtime had we known. When Clarendon owners send out information on the morning of arrival, it would be helpful if they advise guests that most restaurants are closed at night during August.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at this charming cottage. The atmosphere was peaceful and cozy, with beautiful surroundings that made it the perfect escape. The cottage was well-equipped, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, providing a lovely place to relax. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We highly recommend this little gem for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!

Beautiful spot, very comfortable, everything thought of provided, peaceful, cosy, relaxing, clean, very helpful when we called with our questions, so nice to watch & feeds the birds

We Loved it !! Would just like to have known that the breakfast supplies were for our 2 days of breakfast, we consumed 3/4 of it the 1st day thinking it would be restocked, it was enough if you knew it was for 2, it was a small Loaf of bread though for 2 days but All very yummy & good variety

The Stables Cottage was perfect for our stay. It exudes tremendous charm and offers ample privacy. Its location is incredibly convenient, and the check-in and check-out process was straightforward. We even had the opportunity to place bird seeds in the feeder, and it was truly captivating to observe the birds feeding from the large living room window. Additionally, we had access to Netflix for entertainment, and the breakfast spread was delightful.

There was a fireplace, and it would have been delightful if we could have utilized it.

Everything, we stayed in the stables and it’s a fully contained 2 bedroom house , log gas fire full kitchen comfy beds , wanted for nothing , full contextual breakfast
