The host was very friendly and had provided a list of all the local open restaurants for us, along with a map of the town. There is a lovely patio area and self service bar where we could sit and enjoy one of the local wines (from the village). Breakfast was excellent and room very comfortable.

There is a train line very close to the hotel, although that is an issue with all the rheinsteig villages i think. We really didn't find it an issue, but the host had provided ear plugs in case you wanted them. I didn't notice any trains at night and actually found it very quiet.

The host was very friendly and made sure that everything was okay. The breakfast is especially worth mentioning; there was so much to eat, we loved it. The location of the hotel is also nice, close to the river and there are enough restaurants in the area to choose from. There is also a lovely garden to sit and enjoy the last rays of sunlight.

We stayed in the small double room. Everything we needed was there, but it could have been a little bit cleaner (spider webs at the ceiling, dirty drawer in the nightstand) and the lights were flickering. Nothing major though, I would still recommend staying here!

Well furnitured, with garden and river views (way to the Rhine cut by railway and B42, anyhow windows well insulated against the noise), we had a good sleep. We got a spectacular upgrade to suite because our originally booked king size smaller standard double was in need of a minor bathroom repair. Breakfast was extraordinary abundant and delicious (served at table, no buffet), great coffee. Restaurants, welcoming wineries (Strausswirtschaften) within walking distance. Staff always kind, serviceable and helpful.

Eventually beyond expectations. Be advised: no mini-bar or fridge, it is just a hotel.

Our bed was a little hard and creaked. As light sleepers, the loud chimes, we assume, from the church nearby made it a little difficult to sleep. Would have been nice to have had tea/coffee making facilities in the room. These are, however, minor quibbles and our overall stay was very good. We would recommend the hotel.

The hotel is a beautiful old building. The breakfast was fantastic, lots to eat and we could pack a sandwich (we did a multiday hike), they gave us paper bags for this. The staff was very nice. I would most definitely come back here again. My picture is the breakfast.

The ventilation in the bathroom isn't ideal (in the small green room, maybe it's different elsewhere – the size of the small room is by the way perfectly fine).

We couldn’t have asked for more, we had a great stay. The extra thought and attention to detail in the room, the hotel and the breakfast made it a perfect visit!

Wonderful boutique breakfast, and the host Klaus was very helpful in advising dinner options.

Great location for walking the town, catching the ferry or the train. Staff was very attentive and breakfast was amazing.

We were given a full zimmer apartment with modern facilities. The breakfast served next morning was also tasty and sufficient.

The quantity and quality of the breakfast was great.
