our room was large, the bathroom was nice sized and it was very clean. we had 2 balconies and the view was amazing. the breakfast was super good, a very nice spread. we only had dinner once at the hotel and it was outstanding! price was very reasonable. the host was so warm and generous and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we wanted. would highly recommend staying at the Lamm hotel. we hated leaving. the little town didn't have anything in the way of shopping but there were lots of places to eat and they were very good. Rudesheim is very close and they have everything you need there. Quaint little town right on the Rhine. the boat dock was across the street and you could take it to most of the towns that run along the Rhine. lots of beautiful trails to hike and walk.

The room had a most beautiful view of the Rhine. Spacious, comfortable room. Good food. Fantastic location for cycling. The hotel has a bicycle storage room where electric bicycles can be charged.

No problem for us but the sink might be a bit high for some. There is electric car charging in the public car park behind the hotel requiring use of the eCharge+ app (no RFID card reader). It didn't work for us though might work for those with a German electricity contract. There are fast chargers in Rüdesheim am Rhein.

Located facing the river with good views from plenty of outdoor seating on the pavement. Also quick to walk to other areas of the village. Higher priced rooms have river views. Food and drinks service is available most of the day, the menu has some interesting choices, service was quick and we both enjoyed our meal. The decor in our room and communal areas is pleasing, modern, well maintained and clean.

Our room was at the back of the hotel on the first floor and was rather noisy unless we closed the window but it was too warm to do that e,g, guests still using the dining area below, people in the rear courtyard, and nearby trains. Beds only come with 1 very soft pillow each, no extra pillows in the room. The mattress was a bit hard for our liking but this is a personal choice.

Location would be difficult to beat. Quiet village but train, walk, cable car or ferry to busier places.5 or 10 minutes away on the train.. New riverside pathway for pedestrians or cyclists means you can walk along the Rhine either way from the hotel. If you want to explore further then the train to Koblenz or other towns is a simple option. The hotel itself is small and tidy. Not the most modern and contemporary but I find it very comfortable with an above average offering at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

During our stay the bar and restaurant were closed on the Tuesday and Thursday from breakfast to 4pm. Not sure if this is a permanent thing but seems that way. Not a deal-breaker as you can plan around it but sitting outside with a beer after our morning walk is a pleasant pastime. Just have to stay out longer.

Great location on the river in a smaller town which was quieter than Rüdesheim. Lovely view to a castle from our room which had a small balcony. Bed was very comfortable and could be lifted at the head or feet, great for reading. Room was clean, good breakfast and we also had dinner there. Nice choice of German food, the steak was very good and cooked as I requested which was medium. Family run, you can book river cruises from their reception and the service is friendly. I would stay here again.

I thought I’d booked an air- conditioned room but there was only an old fan on a table. it’s seems only the top floor had aircon, luckily the weather was quite mild. Check the website carefully if this is an issue for you.

Standard room was extra large, all staff exceptionally helpful, well lit (best we had in Germany) with great breakfast buffet. Cleaned and refreshed room each day. Very quiet room. Minutes walk from the Rhine Boat and train station. The restaurant was excellent for dinners.

When I read the glowing reports from other people I was rather sceptical but they were right. It's an excellent place to stay, well run, friendly staff, several with excellent English, comfortable room and very good buffet breakfast. Definitely a place for a repeat visit. It's about 6km along the river from Rudesheim but is part of that town. We drove between the two but saw others taking the train. Watching the river traffic is very interesting.

Parking could be variable. If you can't park outside the hotel they have parking for about 7 cars outside the old fire station next door. I was told they had more than 20 parking places available for guests, but we didn't need to use them.

What a find... we loved the relative quiet of Asmanshauser over the hustle and bustle of Rhudesheim, this hotel is about 3km down river from Rhudesheim and if you prefer a quieter place to stay, this is perfect. We had a room looking out over the Rhine which was wonderful. The food and wine in the bar and restaurant were wonderful too. The patron is charming and attentive with a lovely sense of humour. You can catch a boat for trips on the Rhine practically outside - we had a lovely stay and if we are ever in the area again, will be back.

The hotel was very conveniently situated close to the train station. The room (quiet) and bath room were spacious. We had a window as well as a door to a balcony in our room. The fan came in very handy as it was quite hot. The breakfast was delicious. Manager and staff very friendly and welcoming. We could buy tickets for the boat trip at the hotel- boarding the boat conveniently opposite the hotel.

The pillow wasn't comfortable. No kettle in the room to make tea and coffee.

The hotel is located directly across the river and close to the train station which means you get both beauty and convenience. The breakfast was very good and the evening meals in the restaurant were excellent. Our waitress for dinners surpassed our expectations both nights…very nice and very attentive.
