Good value, basic accommodation. This is no-frills, but I got a warmer welcome here than most 4-star hotels I stay in, and slept better, too! Single room, paint work needed a refresh, but it was spotless - not a spec of dust, fresh air (yes! you could open the windows!), no noise from the corridors (also spotless), bathroom was small but perfectly formed. Food in the pub was fresh, hot, tasty and excellent value. Half a roast chicken, sides, and a glass of Coke Zero cost me less than £15. I couldn't eat it all. Breakfast was even better - freshly scrambled eggs and good quality back bacon. Better than any hotel breakfast I've had for a long time, and a lovely lady looking after everyone too.

This was basic, no frills accommodation, with a price to match. There wasn't anything to dislike or complain about.

Room (first night) was cold BUT George brought me a fan heater and closed a slightly open window I couldn’t reach -which solved that swiftly. 👍

The breakfast menu was a typical mix of vegetarian, continental, and full English options. I chose the full English and variations thereof, all of which were cooked to perfection—the best I've had in years. The bed was comfortable, the WiFi signal was strong, and there was plenty of space to park. Best of all, the location was only an eight-minute drive from where I needed to be for the week.

Unfortunately, the room faced a corner of the yard, so there wasn't much of a view.

Nice room, very clean with everything you need, hairdryer, ironing board and tea/coffee facilities with enough sugar given ( perfect). The bed was really comfortable and it was actually nice to have a radiator with a TRV instead of warm air heating, so no noise during night, lovely nights sleep, and the bathroom was large enough, so no showering like you your in a wardrobe. The room had more than enough hanging space for clothes.

The bath plug stuck so had to remove the top to release the water, but just put it back after.

Easily assessable to our family in Houghton Regis. There are a few changes in the Dunstable Town Centre 20mph zone. Comfortable and clean, breakfast included everything we needed. Restaurant on site, so we had everything covered all in one place, perfect.

A little tight with tea and coffee facility in room, packet of tea, coffee, sugar, milk per person, were available. No reception staff. Staff are from the restaurant. Also, the soap dispenser for the shower was empty, just enough for one person. I used my own travel size. Sign of the times with eco. I prefer travel size bottles to choose whether you use or take with you, to use on travels.

Everything evening meal was lovely fresh hot when served to us , highwayman very accommodating as I have osteoarthritis and can't do stairs they have always managed to give us a ground floor room. We have been coming to highwayman since before covid and hope to able to come even more times health permitting

There was only 1 thing that was annoying and that had nothing to do with any of the staff there, people who go into their rooms just let the door go ,it's slow at first then 4inches from closing it bangs shut, if only people would lightly hold it it would bang andwake others up ,

The location was perfect for a "snooker club" visit. Lovely room although cold as the heating is broken. We were provided with a fan so that was really great service. The water was hot and the shower was a good pleasure. Nice clean kettle and really lovely comfortable bed. The breakfast in the attached Greene King pub is such good value and is delicious too.

The heating being broken and getting to the room ro find they left the windows open. It was freezing. But wecwere provided with a heater within 5 mins of asking.

Special mention to George on Reception, who was extremely friendly and helpful. Bathroom was new and clean. Shower was amazing!! Staff working in the restaurant were polite and very accommodating. Jack was on his own and worked, very, very hard, trying to attend to the hotel guests' needs.

By the time I went for breakfast, there weren't any bacon or mushrooms 😔. Staff did their best to replace it with something else.

Needs better lighting in bathroom. Bar staff not really looking happy to greet people.Thought the hotel and bar was part of the Greene King group,we didn’t realise that the hotel is Greene King group and the bar and restaurant is Hungry house.

Clean, tidy and functional. Receptionist was hospitable and helpful with local information and providing room key before time as we were moving on to another venue

Reliance on the HH for breakfast led to disappointment. Food was wither over or undercooked, eggs solid, mushroom massively under cooked. Had to ask for bread, butter, hot water, coffee was weak and tasteless. Decent hotel, poorly supported by other services
